  1. Personally, I can’t accept this lineup as AC/DC. I understand bands need to replace members cuz of retirement, death, etc…should they wish to continue as a band, but still….this is not my AC/DC.

    1. I agree Rattle! The ticket prices will be thru the roof. If Malcolm was still alive and well then MAYBE I’d consider going. Last year we went to see Def Leppard, Journey and Steve Miller at PNC Park. For my wife and I, tickets, travel expenses such as gas, hotel, food, etc ended up costing well over $1,000! All three bands were great but we mainly went for Def Leppard because we had never seen them before. Def Leppard still kicks ass and they have tenured guys who have been in the band for decades including three originals plus Collen. I have a feeling AC/DC will charge even more than DL. They’re nowhere near as good live nowadays compared to DL and with just 1 original member plus BJ, for me it’s hard to justify spending that kind of money to see what is essentially the same thing Kiss finished out as: a cover band.

    2. RPS, I agree if Malcom was around then MAYBE I’d consider attending, as well. Concert tickets are so expensive nowadays that, for me, it’s hard to justify spending so much money to see aging bands that can no longer perform the way they used to. Plus, many need to “tune down” their instruments cuz vocalists can no longer hit the high notes….For me, it makes the songs sound WAY DIFFERENT and not as enjoyable. I’m glad these bands are still performing live, but still….

It’s sad…as our favorite bands age, things change. Lots of bands have iconic classic members who are no longer in the band. And, for me, depending on how much I like the band, my tolerance for each band is different. No Steve Perry, no problem. No Steve Clark, no problem. KISS? AC/DC? Judas Priest? Motley Crue? Now I have a problem.
