BMG, in partnership with Rhino Entertainment, has shared Reach For The Sky, a previously unreleased track recorded during the sessions for Ratt‘s 1984 debut album Out Of The Cellar. The song will be included on limited-edition versions of the Out Of The Cellar 40th-anniversary release celebrating the band’s massively successful first studio album, due on November 8th, 2024.

I’m not sure about this Juan, I love the music, but I’m just not sure about the lyrics, have to listen to it a few more times.

i actually meant “to” give the song a favorable ranking. it sounds good! every juan’s entitled to a mistake.
IMO, this previously unreleased song had a little bit of a harder edge to it than the other songs on “Out of the Cellar”. Musically, it may not have “fit” with the rest of the album.
I’ve never thought of Ratt as a heavy band, but I’ve still enjoyed their music. My favorite release by them was their first Ratt EP….heaviest music they ever did.
Songs decent enough but they already had “Wanted Man” and I don’t think this song fits OOTC very well so I can see why they left it off.
I love Ratt, but this song is just lacking to me, especially the chorus.
I think it was a wise choice, not to include it on Out Of The Cellar.
I agree, D, I can see why they left this Juan off the album, it should have been an instrumental!
