SEBASTIAN BACH SAYS HE CAN SEE A SKID ROW REUNION “HAPPENING” AND ADDS “WE SHOULD BE GIVING SOMETHING BACK TO THE FANS”

Rich Hobson of Metal Hammer reports:

t’s been almost 30 years since Sebastian Bach was ejected from Skid Row…after the departure of [the band’s latest singer] Erik Grönwall – their third vocalist in the last decade, naturally the conversation has returned to whether they’ll ever reunite with Bach. And naturally, the singer has some opinions on that front.

Speakingahead of the release of Child Within The Man – his first solo album in a decade – Bach admitted there’s still unfinished business with his former band.

“For me, doing three albums with Skid Row, I was just getting started,” he tells Hammer’s Paul Travers. “I didn’t think it would be over and done with so quick.”

Pressed on whether he can see the band actually ever agreeing to a reunion – having apparently already failed to reunite back in 2016 – Bach explains he feels it’s something he wants to do for the fans.

“I can definitely see that happening considering they play the same songs I play,” he explains. “When I get a substantial royalty check for an album I did with musicians that I haven’t been in the same room with since 1996, I feel like a piece of s-it. Because we should be giving something back to the fans that have made this great life possible.”

Bach’s forthcoming solo album, Child Within The Man, is due to be released May 10th through Reigning Phoenix Music. Listen to the first single, What Do I Got To Lose?, here, and the second song, Everybody Bleeds, here.

    1. It’s the music BUSINESS, after all. So I don’t begrudge Sebastian Bach if he’s secretly (or not secretly) motivated by a potentially large paycheck.

I’m just curious why these guys just can’t seem to get it together. It’s not like they’re exactly burning up the charts or playing sell-out stadium shows. It’s two relatively washed up factions who have the opportunity (repeatedly!) to regain some past glory, but can’t seem to get out of their own way.

  1. Sabo and Bolan have been very vocal about not reuniting with Bach…they, essentially, can’t stand him. If it hasn’t happened by now, I don’t think a reunion will happen…..

….but what do I know….I believed Kerry King when he said Slayer were done, so…….

  2. I think there’s a small chance if Bach lays kinda low and doesn’t try to campaign for it through the media .
They need to have a sit down and talk about it amongst themselves . It would be better if they could become friends again but not necessary to be a functioning band .If Dave and Eddie could do it and Axl and Slash could do it then these guys most certainly could do it . Wouldn’t it be cool to get some new Skid Row with Bach back on vocals ? IMO Snake needs to be more receptive from input from the band . In other words he seems to be kind of a dictator from what I’ve heard and read . I think Eddie knows if this is really possible or not . It would be cool to donate half of the show one day to talk about it . Start with the history and start of when things went wrong and why and discuss if this could be mended in our and Eddies opinion .

  3. Merch idea: The Singers Of Skid Row 12 month calendar. “One per month! Show ’em all to your friends! Job application included, YOU become the next singer in Skid Row! Enter NOW!”

  4. When you go through 4 singers in the past 10 years, it’s not the singers who are the problem,.it’s YOU! Snake and Bolan come across as very unlikable characters with their pig-headedness…Here we have guys pushing 60 and rapidly losing all relevance, but still won’t get a clue. Everyone understands what the universe is trying to tell them, except these two.
