5/21: ROCKLAHOMA IS HERE, ARMORED SAINT PODCAST, MERCH SALE.

Flying to Oklahoma today to host Rocklahoma this weekend. I’ve had the honor of doing this every year since it started in 2007 and watched it evolve from an all 80’s event, to what it has become. A huge event that celebrates many eras of rock. This year Tesla headlines one night, Linkin Park, Slayer, Godsmack, Volbeat, some of the others. It’s also a cool chance to be exposed to some new young bands I wouldn’t normally see and I look forward to that as well. If you are going I’ll see you there all 3 days. It really is an amazing party and I am thrilled to be a part of it once again. We also run auctions from the stage to benefit local charities and it’s amazing how much generous people donate for the various causes. Also psyched my good buds Anthrax and The Winery Dogs are on this year, so some good ball busting will be ensured! I will not be doing a signing but I do my best to come out in the crowd for a bit when my schedule permits. Also I will have T shirts for sale at the band merch stand all weekend. Hope to see you in Pryor and have a great safe Memorial weekend. And THANK YOU to all the men & woman that served our military and made the ultimate sacrifice on this holiday weekend.

  1. Just have to say I saw Y&T here in Portland last night, and Jesus wow! I know that Eddie loves this band.
Disclosure: I took a turn into Pantera and such at the end of 80s and lost touch with Y&T, after years of seeing them in every venue possible as a homeboy from the SF Bay area. The last time I saw them it was still Haze, Alves, and Phil Kennemore, so the whole current line-up is new except for Dave. The new guys kick ass. Opened with “Hurricane.” What struck me was remembering how many great songs the band has in its repetoire, (“Rescue Me” “Forever” “Black Tiger” among many others) and they played them all. Another thing that struck me was that this band is, and always has been, about good times and extreme party mode. And they friggin stomp.
