Just wrapped up an incredible week of guests on TrunkNation on SiriusXM 106 that included Chris Jericho, Ted Nugent, Jack Blades, Neil Geraldo, Biff Byford, Phil Mogg and Jared James Nichols. Thanks to all. Also thanks to Wall St Journal writer Neil Shah who discussed rock business. Missed any shows? They are now On Demand on the SiriusXM app. This Saturday and Sunday 8-10P ET you can hear the Nugent and Giraldo interviews on my weekend Best Of. Another big week of Trunk Nation next week as I head to Toronto on Tuesday and Wednesday for live show from Canada with producer Bob Ezrin and the Triumph reunion show! All shows live 2-4P ET with a replay 9-11P ET.
New podcast for the week now up with guests Mastodon and Vivian Campbell. Free at www.podcastone.com and Itunes.
Be sure to check out my FM show Eddie Trunk Rocks on many great stations around the US. Debuts tonight 11P ET on Q104.3 NYC and WAAF Boston. Both stations stream free.
Had an great couple nights at BB Kings hosting UFO, Saxon and Jared James Nichols to sold out crowds. All the bands sounded great and Jared is one to watch for sure. Everyone knows how special UFO are to me and they were sooo good! Everyone played amazingly well and Phil sang so great. Slightly different sets each night too. Thursday they opened with two Chapman songs in a row! Thanks to Eddoe Oertell and all the guys in UFO for the hospitality and tolerating my fan boy geekness! And special thanks to Phil Mogg for doing my radio show. Phil doesn’t love interviews but did his only one of the tour on TrunkNation, and he says his only US one for the next 18 months (he bet me $50 haha). Two more sold out shows on this tour and then hopefully they are back soon. It was a great tour and package with these three bands.

Eddie, I’ve been a huge UFO fan, since I bought WW & I, when I was 17 in 1981. I’d have to say that it’s my all time favorite album. Mechanix is a close second. Chapman’s work resonates with me, I guess. I just saw UFO I’m Denver and I loved every second of it. These guys are so underrated! It’s so cool how you recognize this band, too.
Keep doing what you do, Eddie! The hard rock and metal of this era needs a champion and you are appreciated.
Thanks, Vince
