2/11: BACK FROM MONSTERS & CRUISE TO THE EDGE, MORE

About to fly home from Tampa after spending 9 days on a cruise ship and broadcasting 7 radio shows. It was a bit risky trying to do live radio from a moving cruise ship, but it went off without a hitch! That was due to my engineers Scott Gulden and Frank Lovre and their tremendous help, as well as the great staff of Royal Caribbean and On The Blue Cruises.  I had a massive range of guests on between Monsters of Rock and Cruise To The Edge from the worlds of hard rock and prog. On the prog side I learned a lot and met some great very welcoming people to that side of rock. My close friend Mike Portnoy turned in a killer DT set last night as well. I’m still far from a prog expert, but it was great to cover this world of very passionate fans. And of course “my people” on MORC were a blast and party as always! Big thanks also to Larry Morand and his entire team for all the support and having me. It’s been a great experience to be a part of these cruises since day 1 and I appreciate it. Can’t wait for next year already! And huge thanks to the always amazing supportive fans for what I do on both cruises and all the bands who stopped by my show. Too many and to wide ranging to even begin to cover here!

Late addition to my appearance schedule. I’ll be in Santa Rosa CA this coming Saturday hosting a show by a very young band called V2 at House Of Rock. See you there if in the area. On my way out I’m going to stop in Vegas for a couple days. Good way to break up the trip and I missed Alter Bridge in NYC. So I will finally get to see this band live who I love!
