Back from almost 2 weeks at sea for broadcasts from Cruise To The Edge and Monsters Of Rock Cruise. If you followed on Twitter I did my best to keep you all up to date with the artists I saw and had on my SiriusXM show from the ships. A diverse mix that included Steve Harris, Steve Hogarth of Marillion, members of Yes, Sons Of Apollo, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, IO Earth, Carl Palmer, Martin Barre, Tesla, Def Leppard, Michael Sweet, and many many more. All shows now On Demand on the SiriusXM app. Way too much to cover here but it was a blast. Huge thanks to Larry Morand and Mike London for having me, and all the amazing fans and artists I hung with on both ships. I also want to thank the Hard Rock in Tulsa and Hollywood FL for the hospitality around the cruises, and Tampa for hosting my broadcasts on land. Came back to snow and cold in NJ on Friday, so ready for the cruises again for 2019! Seriously was a blast and I thank everyone who helped for the support and all the amazing fans and bands I hung with! Best of show from Monsters airs tonight 8-10P ET on 106 Volume.
Tomorrow for the Presidents Day holiday I will be live 2-4P ET on 106 Volume on SiriusXM (this is a late schedule change). I will not be live for the Monday Hair Nation show tomorrow. That’s back a week from tomorrow.
Sad news on Glenn Tipton while I was away. Glenn, like all the Priest guys, is a good friend and obviously a legend in our genre. Wishing him the very best! I discussed this on radio shows.
RIP Pat Torpey. Didn’t know Pat well but he seemed like a wonderful guy the few times we met. Strong statement by Billy Sheehan telling me he couldn’t see Mr Big go on without Pat. We’ll see how that plays out.
Sons Of Apollo were amazing in their debut, go see them. And LA Guns continues to crush live with this lineup. See them both if you can.
Next appearance is Tulsa 3/2 at IDL Ballroom to host Slaughter. If you are in this area come out and support these shows if you want them to continue. Fun venue and always a good time. See you there!
