Huge thanks to everyone who came out to our annual TMS Christmas party last night in NJ at Dingbatz. The place was packed as usual and we appreciate the support. It was fun hanging with my TMS partners Don & Jim and so many fans and great bands that played. Special thanks to Jack Frost who put together an all star cover band that played some killer covers. Also thanks to Jacob & Paul Figueroa from Crobot who came out and hung with us. Good to meet those guys. Their album was on all 3 of our top 10 lists that I did on my radio show earlier that day. Of course if there is any news on TMS I will post as soon as I know. Great time as usual last night!
Tonight on my FM radio show for the first time ever I am doing an all Van Halen special! You guys picked the 3 feature artists this year. We already did Maiden and Rush, and now the final one is all VH! It debuts tonight 11P-2A ET on Q104.3 NYC and WAAF Boston. Both stations stream free. For Q use IheartRadio and for AAF go to www.waaf.com . All stations and streams airing over the weekend are under Live & On The Air on this site .
For my daily TrunkNation show on SiriusXM Volume I will be live next Tues-Thurs. The other days will be Best Ofs for the holiday’s. But check the show out 2-4P ET and 9-11P ET on 106.

Dude. Dude. Dude!!!
I told you on Twitter how VH is my favorite band all-time, ANY music. I listen to all music, but nothing is on the level of Van Halen to me. After the first hour, i was freaking out. Of course, as you would expect, i have all their albums, but Ed, as a lifelong radio guy, it is still incredibly special to hear songs played by a radio station that one has no control over. It kind of gives it a new life. I think you know what i’m trying to say there.
As i type here at work on 12/25, and why the fuck are we open, lol, i am listening to another replay on the Minnesota station, Rockin’ 101. It’s slow as fuck, so obviously, i’m blasting this!! I may even get up at 10 am Monday to hear KNAC play it again! Maybe. I may be trying to sleep off the Hennessy, lol.
I know this VH special was voted in, but it was even more special that the first run one ran on my birthday, 12/23, which was one of my best birthdays ever, for a few reasons.
Thank you so much for this. I have been wanting an all VH for years, and finally got it. It was great.
I would love an all Dream Theater special, but we know that ain’t happening!
Maybe an all Overkill, my 3rd favorite rock band? No, maybe not.
Seriously, though thanks so much for all you do.
Continued success, Ed. As one of you longest tenured listeners, to see how much success you have had over the years, well, words can’t describe how happy i am for you.
Hope the VH special featured a lot of songs from VHIII.
