1/19: AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE FANS OF “THAT METAL SHOW”

A message to the loyal fans of That Metal Show from Eddie, Jim & Don:

We are sorry to report that VH1 Classic will not continue to make any new episodes of That Metal Show. It has been an incredible run of eight years, roughly 125 episodes and some really cool specials. The global response to TMS has been simply amazing, and we will be eternally grateful for the support from the rock and metal fans that have showed us so much love. We truly would have never made it as long as we did without you! A huge thanks also to the great crews we had over the years both in NYC and Los Angeles, to our producer Jeff Baumgardner, and to all the executives at VH1. And finally, thanks to the hundreds of artists that joined us on our set, had fun with us, shared their stories and many, many laughs. From the biggest names in rock history, to the up-and-comers: we thank you all for being a part of it.

Of course we very much want to keep That Metal Show alive, and with the blessing of VH1 Classic, we’ve got the keys to the show and are currently searching for a new home. We’re not sure where we’ll land, but we hope to be back in our studio and your living rooms as soon as possible. In the meantime, keep an eye out for us on the road and come say, “Hello.”

Thank you for watching all these years, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have news to share.

AXS-TV is the perfect home for TMS! focused on Music and Comedy, lots of live music events, Hagar now has a show, all HD!

    Eddie,
I’m listening to your podcast. You mentioned that you were notified of the cancelation last year. Why the wait to tell everyone? Just curious.

its a shame when all of the reality shows ,go on and on,garbage fake set up shows at that, are on forever and tons of money is dumped into them, but here you had a great little show, with a host that actually knows the content and lives it everyday,is a smart nice guy,not putting anyone down, and the show was really a feel good informative show, and the network dumps it,i guess eddie should have had guests that screamed at each other, and made up things to grab headlines and the such, then vh1 would have kept it on,maybe some of the big rockstars that eddie has promoted on his many shows, should get together and back a TMS of there own,put some real muscle behind the production, and have performances as well, then maybe it will ge the attention it deserves

VH1 will regret this. TMS is the only show I watch on that channel, and I cannot be alone in this. Wherever you end up, guys, PLEASE take Jen with you…!! A show without that little minx is a sausage fest. Balance is key. : )

Really, WTF cancelling ‘That Metal Show’? Are you outta your mind? That’s the only show you had going for your station, since you play reruns of rock videos constantly…boring!! By the way, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi are NOT metal bands… You guys really just screwed up..Whose brilliant idea was this? What a dumbass!!!
I hope to see Eddie and guys at Rocklahoma this year, surely you didnt screw that up too!!! AARGH!!

    Sincerely Disappointed,
    Karen Becker
    Pryor, OK
