  1. hey eddie, I know your busy, I’ve been trying to get a response from you about pat benatar & neil geraldo, what are the chances of them maybe being on TMS? like I said before I know their not metal, but neither is heart, styx, paul rodgers or mick jones, who I all love, just to name a few. I know it’s up to VH1C, but I’ve seen a lot of positive responses from others who would love to see them on TMS as well.

  2. real quick eddie I agree with your comments from the other page on 4/9, I was responding to the one who asked if pat benatar is metal, just reminding them of some of the other great artists who were on TMS that aren’t metal.

  3. Have fun tonight! Saw Def Leppard way back right after Rick Allen had returned. They are still a power house. Rewatched the TMS Uncle Ted episode… So Damn funny!

      1. Yeah, consider Uncle Ted had Don and Jim blushing! That can’t be that easy to do. Love the title of a cookbook he once put out, “Kill It and Grill It”. If you get his sense of humor, that is just a great title. Saw it in a bookstore a few years ago and just died laughing. Yes, “Hump the Trunk” got my husband the 2nd time around too!

  4. Hi Eddie! Thank you for speaking with Joe on your show, love hearing what they are up to! Love their music, always have, and got the pleasure of seeing them in Indy at Verizon wireless center and they rocked it out as good as the 80’s! Loved their show and there was a dad and his teenage son where the son was a huge Def Leppard fan! Loved seeing that! Thank you!

  5. Hey Eddie, Krokus, Ratt and Twisted Sister were my favourite bands in the 80’s, but I was too young to get to their shows here in Canada while they were at the height of their popularity and by the time I was old enough to drive myself to the shows they no longer toured here. I thought I finally had Ratt this year when my wife and I took everything we had, packed the kids in the car and drove to Miami for MOR 14. We both know how that went! Anyways I know that Krokus will never tour North America again, but do you know if they have ever been asked to do the MOR cruise? This would be a way for us long time, serious fans to have a chance to see them and they would have a guaranteed audience. I saw many Krokus T-shirts on board this year and think they would go over well, as would Ratt and Twisted Sister.

  6. Great show Eddie! I’m curious what you think of Rob Halford’s version of Man on the Silver Mountain? I was all about it until Rob started singing. I’m a huge Priest and Halford fan so I had high hopes, but his vocals just seemed monotone and really uninteresting. I realize he’s 60+ years old so he cant hit “Exciter” style vocals, but I just expected a little more. His last solo record had some crazy vocals on it so I’m sure he’s still got it in him. Maybe I’m being too picky. I just hope the new Priest record sounds better. Rock on Eddie, youre the man!!!

      1. Oh good, I’m not as crazy as I think I am -sometimes, I didn’t think of his age, I didn’t think it would be a factor, I just thought ROB METAL-GOD HALFORD doing MAN ON THE SILVER MOUNTAIN -it was going to be so me-Tal it would make your teeth tingle.. uhuuh, it did not.. But I’m still buying the album. RIP Ronnie lml. Thanks Eddie

  7. Hey Eddie, do you gave any comments/thoughts/information on the rumor that AC/DC is splitting up due to the health of Malcolm Young? I know it’s not related to who you had on the show, but info from you, I’ll actually believe. Thanks and btw I absolutely loved the Mick Mars/Tom Keifer show this season. They’re are my favs! TMS is the only reason I keep cable!

  8. Eddie, there was a caller who said that Ace was fired because of drug use, and there was a zero tolerance policy for drug use in Kiss…Ace quit both times. He wasn’t fired. You also said Peter’s been sober for seven years. I don’t think he’s been a drug user since the mid-80’s, and probably wasn’t an alcoholic since before the reunion tour. Thanks

  9. Eddie, man I hope Malcolm is all well, and its just some stupid rumors. On the topic of Krokus…I was a Freshman in High School when Headhunter came out. Awesome album!! Eat the Rich, Headhunter, Nightwolf, etc. man I loved it. My issue is I want to get that album on CD, but I have had no luck finding it anywhere. Any idea where I can have some luck? I happened upon Change of Address about a year ago in a Used Record Store in Indy. By the way I saw them open up for Sammy Hagar off of the Change of Address/VOA tour!! Great Show!!

  10. Hi Eddie – thanks for taking my call on your show last night. I talked about seeing Rush and Heart at the 2013 Hall of Fame event. A couple of other thoughts I didn’t have time to express:

    1) Regarding the lack of a time limit on speeches, I experienced the same thing in 2013. Quincy Jones spoke for what seemed to be 30 minutes, and his intro, which was by Oprah Winfrey of all people, was equally long winded. There were a couple of other long speeches but that was the worst. Everyone went to the restroom. Interesting that KISS, who always break the rules, followed the rules for the time limit! But really, what more was there to say? I thought their speeches were good. Agreed that the shout out to Ace by Gene came at Tommy’s expense! D’oh!

    2) Regarding another band playing since KISS decided not to, it would have been really cool to see some kind of super group get together to do some old classics. Hell, I’d even have settled for Garth Brooks doing Hard Luck Woman! I was thinking about when Metallica played for Sabbath and Phish played for Genesis. That could have been a great way to celebrate KISS’ music but sadly another opportunity lost.

I am glad you attended so we could get an on-the-scene report. I was thinking about flying there but decided against it when it was clear there would be no performance. I have to agree with many (including Stevie Nicks) who said in the long run they will regret not doing something musically. Like you pointed out, it really made KISS a footnote, where they should have been a big, big deal.

    Thanks for all you do.

  11. Hey Eddie, just wanted to say thanks for taking my call here in Louisville last night. It was a good time and a pleasure to speak with you. My apologies if my question about the boos directed at Tommy and Eric in any way put you in a tough spot with some KISS fans. I think you really called it straight and I happen to believe you do those guys in the band a GREATER service than what Paul and Gene do. Thanks for keeping it real and hopefully some day other KISS fans will learn to accept and appreciate that kind of frank honesty. I know I do. Stay cool!

  12. Hope the rumors are not true about AC/DC. I would miss them not only as a band, but I hope Malcolm is in good help. I think a lot of people overlook how important Malcolm always was to the AC/DC sound. I tell you a fun, hard rocking band I really have gotten into lately is the Headpins out of Canada.

  13. we already have Motorhead / Megadeth / Anthrax / Danko Jones / Zack Wylde / Jim Breuer / Fireball Ministry and Wilson confirmed for the MOTORBOAT – who else do you think would be good bands to compliment the lineup?
