The Album ONE Alive, the title of W.A.S.P.’s upcoming North American Tour. August 17th marks the 40th anniversary of the release of W.A.S.P.’s first album. To celebrate this classic metal album, W.A.S.P. will, for the first time in 40 years, play the entire album from top to bottom, start to finish, on their North American tour this fall.
Formed in 1982, W.A.S.P. is set to bring this universally acclaimed “classic” album to life. Lead vocalist Blackie Lawless says, “It was an angry record made by an angry band. It was a record that not only reflected the attitude of the band members who made it, but also a record that reflected its time.” This record became a central piece of the 80s metal scene and remains one of the best metal debut albums of all time.
Along with bassist Mike Duda and lead guitarist Doug Blair, whose tenures in the band are 29 and 26 years respectively, W.A.S.P. is joined by long-time drummer extraordinaire Aquiles Priester.
Lawless and company will deliver the ultimate incredible spectacle, bringing W.A.S.P.’s most colorful history to life by performing this revered album in its entirety… ONE more time… ONE last time… Album ONE Alive!

Not sure I’ll waste my cash on seeing Blackie. Would’ve loved to have seen him back in the 80’s when I was teen and the original lineup.
Hey Rattle….sorry I used the word brag,,,,,you are correct…you were just stating the facts….. I too was there on Sunset in “83 to see Blackie…..was a great show….I know its all about Blackie now and has been since they put him and only him on the album covers, since The Last Command
I am not happy about the backing tracks , and was not aware of them when I saw him in October in Anaheim….I think it came to light after that show? I haven’t Decided if I will go in December to the Palladium, because of this info.
Speaking of the Palladium…..Hopefully you were there in March of “85 to see Adam Bomb open for Metallica….who opened for???
ARMORED SAINT !!!!
Ramit, no, I was not at that Palladium show. However, I did see both Armored Saint, who opened the show, and Metallica perform in a 400 seat venue in San Diego the day before the Palladium show. IMO, Armored Saint blew Metallica away. I remember being in the front of the stage singing along to Armored Saint’s songs. John Bush noticed me and put his microphone in front of me so I could sing one verse of a song….I think the song was Mutiny on the World, if I remember correctly.
Being from San Diego, my friends and I drove to LA when we all the opportunity to do so. It was hard to always find time with work and going to school. We only went to one Palladium show, and that was to see Twisted Sister, Blackfoot, and Krokus. I remember we saw Ron Keel there….I kinda got all “fan boy” about seeing him cuz I loved Steeler.
Like kiss the vocals will be tracks, not live , I won’t pay for that –
the first time I saw W.A.S.P.!!!!!!!!! was in Knoxville TN on the Kiss Asylum tour…and I was not into them one bit….I thought they were stupid…until I saw them, which changed …everything. The guys were screaming…but in key! wow, man… Chris was grabbing his balls as much as he was playing…those teenage girls were in shock…..they’d never seen a gang like this hit town….young, fast, and scientific…that actually described…W.A.S.P.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
