  1. What’s most surprising about this announcement is not the album or tour, but that the band is actually doing promotion behind it. When’s the last time Van Halen actively promoted an album or tour? It’s all done like a stealth operation. They’ve even muzzled the Biggest Mouth In Rock & Roll!

I guess this will hold me over until an album of new material (you know, the “albums and albums worth of music I’ve already got in the can” that Ed Van Halen keeps referring to) is released….

    1. Because, besides Milwaukee and/or Summerfest, there isn’t much there. Besides they played Oshkosh last time.

    2. There’s a massive piece of property in East Troy that would beg to differ. It’s a damn shame what’s become of Alpine Valley!

  2. Van Halen, AC/DC, in the same month? Come August, I’ll be “Runnin’ With The Devil” on the “Highway to Hell”, also be taking a ride on the “Wild Side” with the Crue! 🙂

  3. Strange that we went from Eddie recently saying he didn’t even know where Roth was and wasn’t writing new music with him, to a live album and a tour. I hate to say it, but if you aren’t writing new material, you’re verging on a nostalgia act. They barely played any songs of the last album, and I’ll be honest, I think them completely avoiding all the Sammy ear stuff is a huge mistake. At least pay a little respect or homage to it, even if Dave can’t sing it. Currently, it’s like the biggest era of VH, with the best selling albums, never happened.

I’ll try and grab tickets to see them if it works out.

    1. The best selling albums are with Dave. The first VH album sold over 10 million and so did 1984! The sammy albums sold poorly in comparison.

    2. Dave will never sing Van Hagar songs. His ego is too large. And he couldn’t hit those notes. Hell, he can’t even hit the notes on his own songs anymore. As much as I love VH, I probably won’t go see them on this tour even if they are right in my backyard. Ticket prices are outrageous. Maybe if I find a deal on them or something. Also, isn’t it odd VH will appear on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel, but won’t appear on TMS. A head scratcher for sure.

    3. Van Hagar was the biggest era of the band???!!!!! Are you out of your mind?

  4. wasn’t it a known fact that David Lee’s voice was shot on the last tour?………and they think people are going to pay for that again???

    1. Yes people will pay for it again because despite Dave”s voice, Eddie is at the top of his game!
