Of course, one cannot account for, whether or not, the band would sound great, the chemistry would gel, nor the quality of the songs. This is all about your favorites, teaming up. Additionally, your ultimate lineup may include anyone your heart desires, living, or sadly, deceased.
Singer: I cannot decide here, as there are many vocalists I really like so it could be: Ron Young, John Sykes, David Coverdale, Eric Martin, Robert Mason or Oni Logan.
Guitar: Randy Rhoads and John Sykes
Bass: Billy Sheehan
Drums: Cozy Powell
Honorable mentions: George Lynch (guitar) and the Tommys: Aldridge and Lee (drums)
If I wanted to create just a gorgeous looking band, I would take Europe, in their youth, and put Sykes in the guitar position. 🙂

Vocals: Ronnie James Dio
Guitar: Randy Rhodes
Bass: Jimmy Bain
Drums: Lee Kerslake
Keyboards: Jon Lord
I think I’ll stick with that….Mainly because otherwise, I’m just going to say Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill.
Carrot Top??? LOL!!!
Hi Dana
Just curious; you replied: “Carrot Top??? LOL!!!”
Did you think I put him in my band?
No, I just thought it was funny, that he was discussing music with Eddie-LOL!
Hi Dana
OK, no worries – take care!
Ok, so I had some time to think about it,
Drums – John Bonham
Bass – Billy Sheehan
Guitar – Eddie Van Halen

that’s just Van Halen with a different lineup; Gillan over Roth is your improved version of Roth…pretty obvious what you were doing Doug.
That’s my ultimate band, nothing more, nothing less
