Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy has released the following statement:
“After 30 years creating the band Ratt and losing a real brother, Robbin, it’s time that I personally part ways with the band.
I am officially done with having anything to do with them due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.
I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. This music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes.
I owe no one anything but a huge heartfelt thank you for coming to the party for the last 30 years.
With much respect, life goes on and the music I created will continue to be heard for years to come despite the dark clouds that have lingered for far too long.
I will personally continue to make music and perform live shows.

Another cookie cutter band stamped out of the 80’s glam scene… which should have died along with the glam crap.. adios enjoy whatever else you got going on,
I hope Ratt either works it out or gives it up and doesn’t try to tour with some way inferior replacement like Jizzy Pearl!
I just am blown away by all the negativity on this site anymore. As someone above mentioned, how do you watch/listen to Eddie Trunk, or come to this website, and not know Ratt was still around? And if you hate them so bad, why even click on the link for the story and comment. It just completely blows my mind. And then call each other names on top of it? Is everyone in middle school? If you think Ratt’s not relevant anymore, fine. Honestly, not many of the bands mentioned on here are anymore as far as the media is concerned. Most are past their prime. Doesn’t mean they don’t still make great music. Infestation is a very, very solid album. Not sure where I’m going with all this, but I had to comment on the negative crap being said here. No wonder most people think metal fans are jackasses. Most of you that have posted here have demonstrated it.

I thought this nonsense was going to stop once KISS was out of the news, but I was sadly mistaken. I thought maybe it was just their fans, but now I see it is just metal fans in general. It’s embarrassing, quite frankly. It’s really simple, you don’t like the band, don’t click on the story and don’t bother to comment. I don’t waste my time and energy trashing bands that I don’t like, and then add insult to injury, by composting on their fans. It’s negative and totally unnecessary.

It is messageboards in general. A really negative bunch. My thoughts here were simple:
1) Ratt Good Studio Band
2) Subpar Concert Band
3) Stephen Pearcy is an ass (from personal experience).
That said, I am sad Ratt is over (for now).
