SINGER STEPHEN PEARCY QUITS RATT

pearcybookcover Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy has released the following statement:

“After 30 years creating the band Ratt and losing a real brother, Robbin, it’s time that I personally part ways with the band.
I am officially done with having anything to do with them due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.

I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. This music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes.

I owe no one anything but a huge heartfelt thank you for coming to the party for the last 30 years.
With much respect, life goes on and the music I created will continue to be heard for years to come despite the dark clouds that have lingered for far too long.

I will personally continue to make music and perform live shows.
See you out there.
Sincerely,
SEPearcy”

Ratt’s last album was 2010′s Infestation.

  1. All I can say is I’m really looking forward to hear what Warren will do next. I’m thankful that such a great musician and person is still here, still healthy and able to carry on. Warren, now all the toxicity from this situation will leave you and you can move on. I hope you decide to stick with your passion, because we, your fans, will listen!!

  2. Been a fan since the early days and will still remember the good times had with the music, and at the old shows. Best to SP as his voyage continues on. RATT w/ Jizzy was ok but only at a bar ticket price, not a real show value and he’s busy butchering Quiet Riot currently so who knows what RATT will come up with to replace SP.

    Let the poop flinging begin!

  3. I was really looking forward to seeing Ratt on the MOR cruise this year, but unfortunately Steve’s sister passed away and the band had to cancel the dates, which is totally understandable. I was lucky enough to see them at the House of Blues not to long ago. There are other artists out there from the era that are still rocking strong. Ron Keel is better than every than ever with his new Metal Cowboy album, which I got to hear a lot of on the cruise. Tyketto blew me away with their performance along with TUFF on the cruise. The entire MOR experience was just a plethora of some of the best music from the 80’s. Definitely doing it again next year.

    1. Nick, aren’t you a breath of fresh air?

I would say a lot of people care based on the number of comments here. Ratt happens to be a very good band and Warren DiMartini is an excellent guitar player. While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, please do not presume to speak for everyone.
