Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy has released the following statement:
“After 30 years creating the band Ratt and losing a real brother, Robbin, it’s time that I personally part ways with the band.
I am officially done with having anything to do with them due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.
I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. This music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes.
I owe no one anything but a huge heartfelt thank you for coming to the party for the last 30 years.
With much respect, life goes on and the music I created will continue to be heard for years to come despite the dark clouds that have lingered for far too long.
I will personally continue to make music and perform live shows.
See you out there.
Sincerely,
SEPearcy”
Ratt’s last album was 2010′s Infestation.

Bummer, sorry to see you leave. Good luck and stay in tune 🙂
What a shame these guys couldn’t hold it together for one final studio album and tour. I’m not the biggest Pearcy fan in the world, but I was excited to see Juan back in Ratt and thought they had one great record left in them. Sounds like Pearcy finally got sick and tired of Blotzer’s mudslinging on social media.
i know these guys. this runs deeper than what’s out in the public
Ed it would be great if you could get him to call in to Monday’s show.
Sad day for RATT fans worldwide. I wish Stephen the best and hope he can keep his demons at bay.
And I don’t blame him one bit. No damn way I would put up with Bobby Blotzer’s psycho ass. His recent facebook outburst just takes the cake though. Wishing your singer would almost get beaten to death? Really? Not to mention Stephen just lost his sister. Fuck Blotzer. Wish everyone else the best though. And will most definitely be checking what Stephen does. And if the other members continue on as RATT once again without Stephen then screw you all.
Its a shame it has to end like this but truthfully, Pearcys vocals have been herendis as of late, cant even hit his notes anymore!! Blotzer, who is a good friend of mine, has been the mainstay and the backbone of this band for many many years! Good luck to them all!!!
