Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy has released the following statement:
“After 30 years creating the band Ratt and losing a real brother, Robbin, it’s time that I personally part ways with the band.
I am officially done with having anything to do with them due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.
I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. This music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes.
I owe no one anything but a huge heartfelt thank you for coming to the party for the last 30 years.
With much respect, life goes on and the music I created will continue to be heard for years to come despite the dark clouds that have lingered for far too long.
I will personally continue to make music and perform live shows.
See you out there.
Sincerely,
SEPearcy”
Ratt’s last album was 2010′s Infestation.

Who cares? Pearcy was a disrespectful ass to fans long before they ever cracked the (short-lived) big time; besides having always been the least talented member of the group.
And his utter BS about feeling the loss of a “real brother” in Robbin is just sickening – Crosby has been dead for TWELVE FLIPPING YEARS!!! And the ENTIRE band treated him like total crap for a very LONG time before, and right up until the day he died!
“King” was the heart and soul of the band, and he was the biggest reason they made it in the first place – no one worked harder than he did to make them a big name, and RATT died with him.
Don’t say the “ENTIRE” band…Juan Croucier still saw Robbin and even jammed with him from time to time after the band split up. And consider when they re-formed, Juan didn’t join them. It was years and years before he finally came back. And do you know what the problem was that kept him away for so long? Stephen Pearcy was the problem. He finally came back because he just wanted to play.
Tough love is the real term for what you are talking about. They had to be tough on Crosby because he refused to clean up.
Come on it’s been over for them for along time. He will do much better on his own.
Sorry but Stephen Pearcy has always been a douche. He was lucky to be surrounded by the musicians that he was.
I don’t get how so many people could be posting on the Eddie Trunk website that they didn’t know Ratt was still a band. Do you not listen to Eddie Trunk? Do you have an interest in hard rock and metal? Anyway, it’s a shame the band couldn’t work things out.
Tim I agree, always shocks me how completely clueless and out of touch fans are of what.bands like Ratt and Warrant, and so many of these amazing hard rock bands are up to. Didn’t know they were still around? Floating in oblivion like Winger and Warrant???…What the hell…Ratt had huge tour in 2009 with Extreme and in 2010 with Scorpions in arenas, numerous festivals, and huge tours. In 2010 they released INFESTATION , one of their best albums ever!!! As for Winger their new album came out Apr 22 and arrany released new album in 2012 and never broke up, nor have most all the band’s from the era. Eddie always keeps us up to date and has most all these bands or members of these bands on TMS and ehis radio shows….how can anyone that is s true hard rock and metal fan be so out of touch with the fact that all these bands many of us enjoy are still here. With Juan Crucier,Pearcy, Blotzer,DeMartini, and Carlos Cavasos (Quiet Riot) all together in 2013
Tim and Chad, it’s because the link was on Facebook!! 🙁 I’m glad I saw it, but I guess some people spend a lot of time reading and commenting on topics that they really aren’t even interested in. They just have the need to be heard? They should be listening to all the music RATT has to offer. One guy said, “didn’t know they made anything after Invasion.” REALLY? Uh, Dancing Undercover? Reach for the Sky? I mean, did they start listening to just country in 1986?
Opened for them a couple years back at the TLA in Philly. Warren was really cool and so was Robby Crane ( bass player at the time) but the rest of the guys weren’t very friendly kind of arrogant jackasses. They sounded OK. Warren is great. Overall it was a good night.
