QUESTION OF THE WEEK: NAME ONE ALBUM THAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER PERFECT OR CLOSE TO PERFECT? MEANING ALL KILLER, NO FILLER, NO “GREATEST HITS” RECORDS ALLOWED

I realize this is a difficult question, so I will allow for some honorable mentions. However, your first choice, must be your top choice. The genre must be Hard Rock, and Heavy Metal, only.

For me, off the top of my head:

Top choice: Judas PriestScreaming For Vengeance

Some honorable mentions: Def LeppardPyromania, Lynch MobWicked Sensation, (Bon years) AC/DCHighway To Hell/(Brian years) Back In Black, Van HalenVan Halen TeslaMechanical Resonance, Ozzy OsbourneDiary Of A Madman.

  1. Hi. There are so many. Here are a few. The first L.A. Guns, Overkill – Under The Influence, Anthrax – Among The Living, The first Dangerous Toys, Bang Tango – Psycho Cafe, Extreme – Pornograffitti, Dio – Sacred Heart, Slayer – Reign In Blood and many more

  2. I have to add a third round and it is mostly like all my posts to make people aware of great music. Dr Butcher!!!!!!!! A harder version of Savatage! Jon Olivia may be my all time favorite singer! Savatage is so underrated it makes me fucking sick! They are not just Hall of the mountain king! I saw them at Janis landing in Florida around 1990 and I was just blown away!

  3. yeah, I like the rawness of the first L.A. Guns album, but Cocked and Loaded is great too. I remember having Rip and Tear as an ringtone. Traci Guns and Phil Lewis were great people to meet. I remember sitting next to Phil Lewis in the movie theater for his movie premiere of Witchfinder General.

    1. Danny,

I have both albums, like both, but I believe Cocked And Loaded overall, had better songs. What do I know? LOL!

  4. ACCEPT: Restless and Wild…….is THE definition of ALL KILLER, no filler.
There are other albums, but for metal, hard, loud, guitar-drums-vocals……….this is THE one.
