QUESTION OF THE WEEK: AS PER MY BRITISH BUD, POSTER D.J.H., WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER THE MOST UNDER APPRECIATED ALBUM?

This a very difficult question to answer, as there are so many albums, that could qualify.

With that “said,” off the top of my head, the two that came to mind are Blue Murder‘s Blue Murder and Lynch Mob‘s Wicked Sensation. But, if I could only pick one, shockingly (sarc), I am picking Blue Murder.

  1. Wow this is a tough one. I will start with an under appreciated song. “Goodbye” by Army Of Anyone is such a great and overlooked tune. Check it out.

    As far as an under appreciated album, hard to say if it’s THE MOST under appreciated, but “Black Gives Way To Blue” by Alice In Chains is an incredible record. Another one would be “The Ultimate Sin” by Ozzy. Amazing record top to bottom with incredible hooks. “Walk The Sky” by Alter Bridge, another gem. I used to say Fortress was their best, but “Walk The Sky” might be. It may be too soon because it just came out, but I think “Everest” by Halestorm is the best they’ve done to date. I’ll end it with “A Different Kind Of Truth” by Van Halen. Sorry I could go on for days and would never be able to pick just one.

    1. I couldn’t agree with you more 100 PERCENT about Black Gives Way to Blue!!! There are certain albums in your collection that you will listen to over and over
      and for me this is one of them!!! A great album start to finish. Acid Bubble is one of my absolute favorite AIC tracks!!

  2. Ozzy Osbourne – 1988’s ‘No Rest For The Wicked’.

    Zakk’s debut, and he was absolutely on fire on it. To think he was only 20/21-years-old at the time, yet he plays on it like he was much older and experienced.

    Another one that I think get’s overlooked is Alice Cooper’s ‘The Last Temptation’ from 1994.

  5. Great question!! Now we are throwing music out there that people are missing out on. Twisted Sister Come out and Play! Dream Theater Six Degrees of inner Turbulence! Jethro Tull Rock Island! Ted Nugent State of Shock!! Corrosion of Conformity Self title not their first release Deep purple who do we think we are!!! Krokus the blitz!!
