This a very difficult question to answer, as there are so many albums, that could qualify.
With that “said,” off the top of my head, the two that came to mind are Blue Murder‘s Blue Murder and Lynch Mob‘s Wicked Sensation. But, if I could only pick one, shockingly (sarc), I am picking Blue Murder.
Not sure if anyone is aware of the Twin Planet theory, that there is an opposite version of you on another planet existing within the same time as you. This twin planet is true and it’s on earth as this planet keeps both universes going simultaneously. So I found out that Tom G. Warrior is Kip Winger on this twin planet. Notice how Tom G. Warrior went glam and WInger wore underground metal shirts. They are opposite versions of the same person on twin planets.
Well, first of all thank you for putting my question to the good readers of the website. I think that it’s gone quite well to be fair, with some interesting takes on the subject.
If I can think of anymore for another time I’ll let you know. Maybe we could do a ‘Throw down’ question like they used to do on That Metal Show?
Example: Motley Crue’s 1989 classic Dr Feelgood or the John Corabi fronted ‘Motley Crue’ album from 1994.
There is absolutely, no need, to thank me, and yes I agree, it seems your question was well received. 🙂
Finally, we can certainly have throw downs, in the future. Anyone have any suggestions as to what we should call it? I was thinking of a play on words, instead of Metal Verses, Metal Versus?
Not to create any controversy here, but IMO Motley Crue didn’t deserve John Corabi. I’ve never been a huge Crue fan, and I don’t consider Vince Neil to be much of a singer. Go listen to the album Corabi did with The Scream, Let It Scream. That is one hell of a band and I’ve been a fan of Bruce Bouillet since his Racer X days. But that one Scream album has more soul and character than any album Motley ever made, and Corabi has more talent than any of the clowns in Motley. It’s a damn shame that Corabi bailed on that project to take over vocals in Motley, and I’m betting that he regrets that decision to this day.
When Blue Murder came out there were much better or creative music coming out. It is just ok. I have the first cd and never play it. The cult Sonic Temple, Tesla the great radio convercy, Motleys crue Dr Feel-good, Faith no More with their masterpiece. Hmmm what should I listen to today Faith no more or Blue Murder? Haha!
Regarding the debut Blue Murder album, I happen to completely disagree, as does Eddie, and many others.
However, regardless of the music, John Sykes, was gorgeous, a great guitarist and an excellent singer, and that can never be denied, especially about his stunning appearance, ha ha.
Personally, I’d much rather listen to Blue Murder than Faith No More…..but, to each their own. When Blue Murder’s album came out, I remember repeatedly listening to it over and over again, I thought it was so good! It reminded me so much of Whitesnake’s “1987” album. And the only reason I bought Blue Murder’s album is because of John Sykes cuz I knew of him playing with Tygers of Pan Tang. I had no clue he was part of Whitesnake cuz I wasn’t into Whitesnake until after “1987” and seeing their MTV videos with Rudy Sarzo, Tommy Aldridge, Adrian Vandenberg, and Vivian Campbell. What a “supergroup”!
Thank you, Rattle,
Sykes was diamond. 🙂
Ok, I pulled it off my shelf, cleaned off the 2 inchs of Dust and will try to listen to this cd again. I bought 1000 proof grain to help me get thru it! Haha! Then I will listen to Twin Peaks Theory! Hahaha!

Sorry, I meant to reply to this sooner.
