As previously reported, those honored along with KISS were actor Sylvester Stallone, I Will Survive singer Gloria Gaynor, British actor Michael Crawford and country music superstar George Strait 

The show will air on CBS and Paramount+ on December 23rd at 8 p.m. ET.

  2. Im done with both Simmons and Stanley

    Simmons is not fit to wear that medal and neither is stanley/ Im so sad for Ace’s daughter, you could see how upset she was in the clip I watched – so sad Ace could not not receive this award.

  3. What’s disturbing is some local news station interviewed Tom Thayer. The dimwit reporter spoke to him and asked him questions that made it sound as if Tom Thayer was being honored. That goon went along with it! How disrespectful to Ace! Dana you should post that on here for people to watch.
    Gene also made some disparaging remarks about Ace as well essentially stating that falling down stairs doesn’t kill you and pretty much insinuated that Ace relapsed. I know Ed Trunk went off about it and apparently it got to Gene because Gene apologized for these comments. I declare fake apology. He and Paul have made a career bashing Ace & Peter. Gene has repeatedly said these things about Ace over the years. So he absolutely should’ve known better than to say such horrible things and be so insensitive to Kiss fans, Ace’s family and friends. I’m convinced Paul & Gene both have mental challenges and that they are two of the most insecure people on earth. I’m embarrassed to say I used to look up to those two goons when I was young. Shame on me!

      As Eddie explained on his show, I initially posted the news, but he asked that I remove it, because he very upset, by what was stated and reported, in the story. He subsequently, addressed the topic, on his Sirius/XM show.

      You know how people go through different stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance), well, I initially, thought maybe Simmons was in his anger/frustration phase, when he made those foolish statements? Regardless, what he said was thoughtless, inconsiderate and cruel. Now whether it was a reaction to all of the backlash, or he thought the better of it, he did “apologize.”

      Now, it up to you, the fans, or the bosses, as Simmons refers to the collective “you,” to decide how you want to proceed. Your attention, or more importantly your monetary contributions (or lack of), will determine if there will be any future interest in KISS, or Simmons‘ solo projects.

    2. RPS, I read those comments that Gene recently made about Ace and they disgusted me. It’s just the same narrative he’s been bitching about for years, even after Ace became clean. Gene needs to be respectful, and if he wants to make public comments, he should focus on the great things Ace did…..influenced countless guitarists, great song writer, great performer, great fan personality, loved by the fans, etc….His comments are totally disrespectful to Ace, Ace’s family, KI$$ fans, and Ace’s fans.

      I don’t think his apology is genuine. He’s simply responding to the backlash. For a change, Gene should start thinking about what he says rather than speak the garbage to ordinarily comes out of his mouth.

    3. Ace’s autopsy is a total nightmare, horrific…I wouldn’t wish that on someone I didn’t like. It breaks my heart. I worry that Ace had some negative energy around him, and maybe Gene was talking about that. I think Gene meant cumulative effects, not a relapse. And I think Gene genuinely cared about him. But he shouldn’t have said anything. Maybe he just doesn’t like being upstaged by someone else dying…lol…who knows? You see him in the Senate talking with his shades on, and Peter and Ace might say that is just Gene believing his own hype, but there is just something so anti-establishment about Paul and Gene …they’re like the two guys that don’t belong that ended up at the elites party. Back to Ace, I actually think having that wig permanently attached to his head, he slept in it, and changed it weekly….put pressure on his head and it was too subtle for him to make the connection to his lightheadedness….it’s like having micro concussions with his past history…And to the Tom Snyder interview, I can’t even watch that now knowing how the story ended up, referring to what Paul said. But that also got blown out of proportion: Bill Aucoin wouldn’t intervene during the commercial breaks because he didn’t see the big deal out of it…and it shouldn’t have been.

    6. Oh really, I know the cause of death was reported, but I was unaware of any autopsy results? It was determined that he passed, because of a brain bleed brought on by his fall down the stairs, weeks prior.

      However, your wig theory is amusing. I have a thing about male wigs and toupees-LOL!

  4. Geez the most disturbing thing was looking at Shannon’s neck – that thing is as wide as a sequoia tree…..she could play NFL football with that neck.

  5. genesracoonwig: Plus, when Gene is talking to press at the Kennedy Center, he mentions Ace’s empty chair. Shannon then says, off camera, “That’s my purse chair”. Let that sink in for a minute. I’m ridiculously pissed off about it, as every Kiss and Ace fan should be. It’s on Reddit.
