Very sad Ace didnt make it , im glad his daughter was able to receive the honor for him , I think this is a real honor kiss the original guys deserve not like the hall of shame – the original 4 guys really did change music and influence many musicians – even if they turned into a clown show in the last part of their career, what they did un the beginning was magic
In all seriousness, Kiss is a deep band, and Paul and Gene are, and always will be, outsiders….they really did it their way, ultimately. We can criticize them for keeping Kiss going, but given its magnitude…they compromised it, but they really didn’t have a choice but to keep it going…I think most of us would’ve.
Gene and Paul f-d up the legacy of KI$$.
It’s really heartbreaking not seeing Ace in this photo
Garth Brooks and CheapTrick played. Wandt Mumo supposed to play?
Wonder if Garth played Hard Luck Woman and Cheap Trick played RARAN???
And no tribute to Ace, except an empty chair.
If that is the case – I call it very lame
They did an Ace tribute with Criss Angel doing a magic thing with a smoking guitar and a moment of silence…
I read that as well – more proper tribute – thanks!
Doug R: I’m with you on that, brother. It’s just so strange to not have Ace around.
