Song: You Can’t Kill Rock and Roll. Record: Diary (it’s not even close). Guitarist: Rhoads..and please just listen to what I am saying before you go off on me …Rhoads is equally, or more so, nowhere without Ozzy…those standard, by the book riffs he did on Blizzard….seriously, I Don’t Know is a great riff? he’s still in a club on the Strip without Ozzy’s deep gift for melody…so, enough with this “Rhoads made Ozzy…” uhh, ok, but it’s more like the other way around…Lineup: Yes, it’s Ozzy, Rhoads, Daisley, and Kerslake…much better than those whippersnappers Sharon brought in to replace them, but it was a great business decision…the kids buying that record related a lot more to Sarzo and Aldridge, it just gave Ozzy a refreshed look. (Thanks, Dana…great question(s)!)
1) Song – I Don’t Know (Tribute version)
2) Album – Diary of a Madman
3 Guitarist – Randy Rhoads
4)Lineup – Ozzy, Randy Rhoads, Tommy Aldridge, Rudy Sarzo
IMO, the song “Diary of a Madman” is Ozzy’s most perfect song. And while I know my favorite Ozzy lineup never released an album together, that lineup, IMO, is THE ULTIMATE lineup. The talent, the showmanship, etc…just the perfect lineup.
Song: You Can’t Kill Rock & Roll, See You on the Other Side, Diary of a Madman, Tonight
Album: Diary of a Madman
Guitarist: I know Randy is a genius, bit I love me some Zakk, but my favorite solo is on Bark at the Moon
