Mötley Crüe has released the official music video for their new single, Dogs Of War. The track was made available via the band’s new deal with Nashville’s Big Machine Records.
“It’s always great getting back in the studio with the guys in the band,” bassist Nikki Sixx says. “We know you’re gonna like this one.”
Bob Rock, who produced the new single, as well as Mötley Crüe‘s famed 1989 album Dr. Feelgood, adds, “Working with the band on the new song was the easiest session I have ever had with them… The Crüe is the best they have ever been! And they have plenty of new stuff in store.”

No Mick. No listen. Not interested in Corporate Crue.
No Mick Mars = No Motley Crue. The band died when they f-d Mars.
And why Big Machine Records? I thought Crue had their own label called Motley Records?
BTW, I thought this new song sucked.
Wow, that really sucked!
This certainly does not sound like a Motley Crue song. It does, however, sound like it would fit perfectly on a Rob Zombie album. But that’s what you get with John 5 over Mick Mars. Two completely different styles.
John played lead guitar on David Lee Roth’s solo record DLR band and was spectacular. Not sure what happened to that John but it would’ve probably fit Crüe better.
Not a fan of John’s instrumentals but I do respect his abilities on the guitar. And oh yeah, just a reminder, he’s a vegan. He likes to make everyone aware of that.
Sorry to be a contrarian here, but this is a damn cool song. John 5 has certainly put his fingerprint on the songwriting and sound of this song. I get that diehard old-school Motley Crue fans are listening to it through the filter of the band’s legacy, and in that respect, it’s understandable that they may not warm up to this. However, if you just listen to it without all the “Motley Crue” baggage, the song is pretty undeniable.
All that said, just how much Auto-tune, compression, and production magic were involved in getting Vince to sound like this? I wonder if it’s Vince singing….or the avatar that’s featured in the video!
Nope, I didn’t judge this through the traditional Crüe lens, this is absolute crap-LOL! Also, the mid section is a complete Black Sabbath Electric Funeral bite, they should have to pay some royalties.
….(laughs)…
