JACK OSBOURNE SPEAKS ABOUT THE LOSS OF HIS FATHER

[Dana’s disclaimer: The views expressed below are mine, and mine, alone. They do not represent those of Eddie Trunk, nor EddieTrunk.com. Thank you]

Jack Osbourne, whom I happen to be a big fan of, posted this video today, on his YouTube page. It also happens to be, the first time he has filmed anything, since his father, the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, has passed away.

Also, while I do not want to get down into the sewer (you can read it, here for yourselves), I must add, that I stand with Jack, and the entire Osbourne clan when I write, #f-krogerwaters.

  1. Made me cry. Jack has really turned out to be a great guy. I remember watching the Osbournes and thinking he was doomed. Glad he proved me wrong. I still can’t believe Ozzy is gone, just doesn’t seem real. So glad he left us with a ton of great music to remember him by though.

And yeah I agree, F**k Roger Waters! He is a no good rotten SOB! Hope he dies a miserable painful death. One things for sure, when his death does come, he won’t get the love Ozzy got and is getting. And PF is one of my all time favorite bands, but I won’t be shedding a tear when that sorry excuse for a human goes. Gilmour will have me crying like a baby though lol

Anyways, thanks for posting this. Glad to see Jack is doing ok considering.

    1. WN,

When Jack was a little bitty thing, I thought, he was one of the cutest boys I had ever seen. Cut to “The Osbournes,” and I thought, “Okay, he’s in the thick of being a teen, being bombarded with hormones, peer pressure, etc., but he is a bit of a righteous jerk.”

Then as he aged, I fell in love with him again. Ozzy, God rest his soul, and Sharon, should be very proud, he grew up to be a wonderful man.

What is so admirable about Jack, is he is very honest about himself, his family and his life. He also became an American citizen (not sure if that was through his first marriage or he took the test). He is also very supportive of our military, as well as our Police, Fire Department and EMS.

  2. Technical Ecstasy is so much better: musically, lyrically, commentary on being a famous rock and roll musician, than any Floyd/Waters record, and they weren’t even trying.

  3. I remember when Ozzy talked about the rock star lifestyle and comparing it to having to eat your favorite desert every night..lol…something like “you would get sick of having truffles every night, trust me..” Being Ozzy wore him out…that was a lot of pressure. But he was on the best records, with the best musicians, singing the best songs, in the history of popular music. Diary is so good, it’s scary. Randy’s Mission Statement, and Ozzy’s. Ozzy was so good at complimenting the people around him as an artist.

  4. I like Ozzy. I like Black Sabbath. His impact on music and on his fans is towering. However, I don’t think he should be lionized either. I doubt even Ozzy would’ve been comfortable with that. It is ok for people to say they don’t care for Ozzy or his music. People have different tastes.

HOWEVER…Roger Waters is a tired, old, bitter, self-important, and disrespectful individual (and I won’t even get into his politics which teeter on anti-semitism). Hell, even David Gilmour keeps a safe distance. It would’ve been perfectly ok for him to say, “I feel for Ozzy’s family and his fans, but his music just wasn’t my thing.” But not Waters. He has to mock, ridicule, and diminish someone to make himself feel relevant.

Waters is prime example of when you have to separate the artist from the man. Artistically, he was brilliant. Those Pink Floyd albums with him as the driving force are undeniable. But as a human being – to quote Ozzy and Jack – what a “f*****g c***!”

    1. RTunes,

I agree, one doesn’t have to glorify Ozzy (although, I happen to think he was a rock icon, and there will NEVER be another like him, ever), nor minimize his shortcomings. However, out of respect to his family, and fans, don’t disparage the man, his career, nor insult his music, especially when he can no longer defend himself. Absolutely abhorrent, noxious, cowardly and odious behavior, but I expect nothing less from that demon.

Also, I was trying to avoid the topic, but since you brought it up, BORDERING on Anti-Semitism? Waterhead, is so up to his neck in Jew hatred, that he may as well be wearing a Swastika armband while goose stepping or wearing a suicide vest. Nevermind, that he publicly, and proudly, espouses his hatred, at every given opportunity, he is so consumed with vile contempt, that he even has to incorporate it, into his live performances. He can’t help himself, he is obsessed.

As I wrote before, thankfully, I was never a fan of the band, nor his “singing” voice. However, I applaud, David Gilmour, and his wife, for publicly lambasting his hatred, and unequivocally distancing themselves, from that vile creature, he is poison.

    2. I grew up a fan of Pink Floyd’s music (most of it) and still listen to PF every once in a while, scumbag Waters runs his mouth like diarrhea, he makes everybody sick, including his old band mates – Gilmour, Wright and Mason, they absolutely did the right thing by distancing themselves from scumbag Waters, who would want anything at all to do with a hateful, evil, rotten sonofabitch!!
God bless Ozzy, Jack, and the entire Osbourne family, and Waters? You can go to hell! And I’m sure you will!
