Hello all, I was watching The Kelly Clarkson Show (like I always do, as I am a huge fan, of her singing voice) and she covered a song, by a country artist, named Luke Combs.
The song is called, Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma, and I know this melody, sounds very similar, if not practically the same, to an ’80s, or early ’90s, hard rock song, but which one?
I came up with, Jon Bon Jovi‘s Blaze Of Glory, but it is definitely another tune, as well? Listen to it, and let me know what song you think this is highly reminiscent of?
Finally, since I am not a huge country music fan, I had never heard this song before (and never saw the Twisters movie). So, if this is an older tune, please forgive me, it is new to me.
I really like, but it is because it is clearly sounds like a retro hard rock melody. 🙂
For those Clarkson fans, who want to hear her cover version, here it is:

ramithard,
Thank you, the consenus seems to be, this is a Cinderella sounding song.
Wanted Dead or Alive, Bon Jovi
JVD,
Thank you, for your suggestion, I think you might have something there!
Dead Or Alive is pretty close, which is why I mentioned Jon Bon Jovi‘s Blaze Of Glory, which sounds similar, to Dead Or Alive.
Maybe, it is a combination of a few songs, such as Dead Or Alive and a slowed down, slightly altered version, of the opening riff, to Cinderella’s Gypsy Road along with touch of Night Songs?
The riff reminds me of the beginning of Beggars and Hangers-On By Slash’s Snakepit. JBJ’s Blaze of Glory too as well as Wanted: Dead or Alive.
Hi crumcasey,
Beggars and Hangers-On is another very good suggestion. Thanks.
