Exodus have parted ways with singer Steve “Zetro” Souza and have been rejoined by Rob Dukes.
On January 16th, the band released the following statement via social media: “Announcement! Exodus have parted ways with Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza. We thank Steve for his years fronting the band and all the killer music we made during that time. We wish him only the best in the future and much success with anything he does.
And please help us welcome Rob Dukes back to Exodus. We are beyond stoked to have Rob back ripping up the stage with us and he’s looking forward to crushing everything like only he can.
Next chapter begins, new record rolls along as planned and the beatings will continue.
See you soon, Exodus.”
Dukes joined the group in January 2005 and appeared on four of the band’s studio albums — Shovel Headed Kill Machine (2005),The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A (2007),Let There Be Blood (2008, a re-recording of the band’s classic 1985 LP, Bonded By Blood) and Exhibit B: The Human Condition (2010).
The thrash metal legends in June 2014 announced the departure of Dukes and the return of his predecessor, Souza, who previously fronted Exodus from 1986 to 1993 and from 2002 to 2004

I read rumors that Zetro is unwell, and that’s why he’s no longer with Exodus. I hope not true…
Personally, I prefer Dukes’ voice for Exodus rather than Zetro’s voice. I think Dukes’ voice is angrier and suits Exodus’ music better. My favorite Dukes Exodus song is “The Ballad of Charles and Leonard”. So killer!
I have to agree. Dukes is an intimidating force onstage and I like his voice better. I have the Shovel Headed Tour Machine CD/DVD package with Dukes and it’s pure metal domination!
