Rush co-founders Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals) and Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals) recently announced their return to the stage for a very special 2026 headline tour, Fifty Something, in celebration of Rush‘s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. Today, due to incredible demand, the band announces additional dates in most cities. The band is adding two new dates in each of the following cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Toronto, and Fort Worth. he limited run of summer dates — Lee and Lifeson‘s first official shows under the Rush banner in 11 years — will begin at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, site of the last RUSH concert on the legendary Canadian band’s “R40” anniversary tour. Joining the duo on the trek will be German drummer Anika Nilles, who toured with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck in 2022 and has been rehearsing with Lee and Lifeson in preparation for the tour.

Looks like they initially reserved 4 dates per city, but announced 2 in order to gauge the demand before committing and announcing the additional dates if warranted. Obviously there’s a huge demand, myself included. I’m so glad these guys are taking a well deserved victory lap and making people happy to see those songs played live one more time and exposing a new generation to live music written, played, recorded and mixed by people (google “Le Studio” in CN where among other albums “Moving Pictures” was recorded). The new drummer looks very good, and convinced Geddy and Alex that she can pull it off under the biggest microscope, ever.
Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! Guess I really don’t need to buy a house! Or even pay the rent where I’m living now! I can live in my car, and I have a couple tents. Four dates in LA LA Land, maybe I’ll try and go to one. I hate going to LA, but damnit I hate missing Rush moar! Need to hit the lotto, that’s all there is to it.
Anyone seen the price on these tickets?…….no thanks….wait it out
My guess is, at some point on the tour, this may be filmed. So, while it is not the same as attending in person, it is better than viewing random fan filmed clips online, or not seeing anything at all.
Only way I’m going is if they add BC or Seattle, WA
They will do fine. I support them because the decision to end the band was really out of their hands. Im actually surprised they didn’t do this sooner. If this tour does really well (which I’m sure it will) we may get more reunion tours from other bands. Yet who’s left?
