On January 27th, George Lynch joined Don Dokken on stage at “Ultimate ‘NAMM’ Night” at the Hilton hotel in Anaheim, California to perform Dokken’s Kiss Of Death and Tooth And Nail. They were accompanied by guitarist Ira Black, bassist Marten Andersson and drummer Phil Varone. Watch video, courtesy of Johnny Angel, below.
Last month, the classic lineup of Dokken — Don, George, bassist Jeff Pilson and drummer “Wild” Mick Brown — filmed a video in Los Angeles for a new song called It’s Just Another Day. The tune, which will be featured on the band’s forthcoming CD/DVD package,
The DVD will reportedly feature footage from the two Japanese reunion shows — including Tokyo — as well as the band’s Sioux Falls gig. The band also recorded two acoustic remakes of a couple of the old Dokken songs, which also “came out really amazing,” according to Pilson.

George Lynch is shredding on guitar. Ira Black is shredding on guitar. Don Dokken, while looking like Axl Rose, sounds terrible on vocals. Either that, or this video footage is of poor quality….Nope, Don just sounds terrible.
You nailed it right on the rattlehead. Keep in mind how great the vocals were on BACK FOR THE ATTACK and now you have an unlikable guy who sounds terrible bringing down a band that bears his name. Those other guys all sound great. He looks like a disinterested overweight Neil Young looking for pretzels and a cheese dip while he’s inconvenienced with having to sing stuff. The front man should be having a good time and cheerleading the audience not being some stuff with a feather in his hat calling it macaroni. No more chances Don. It’s over. You were great but it’s over.
His delivery sucks canal water, time to take up checkers.
I saw this clip earlier today and watched it again now. At least from appearance, Don comes off as so arrogant. He hardly even notices George, like he just stumbles on stage and decides to take the mic. Because of Don’s poor vibe, to me, it felt like the band was “nervous” playing with George. A shame, the band seems really talented.
BTW, the other guitarist, man that is some serious rock and roll hair going on!! 🙂
Paul Stanley thinks Don Dokken can’t sing anymore.
