11/27: HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! RADIO & APPEARANCE UPDATES!

Just a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving to all here in the US tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day with friends and family. I am truly thankful for what I do and you guys are a HUGE part of that by supporting it. So if you read, watch, listen, whatever, thanks, and have a great day!

SiriusXM show recorded next 2 weeks. This Monday I’m hosting a Wounded Warriors benefit at Irving Plaza in NYC, next Monday I’ll be coming back from my first ever trip to Costa Rica to host a metal festival with Overkill and many more. I’ll also be in LA 12/12 to host the first ever live show with Jake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel at The Whiskey!

Was in Maryland yesterday to shoot an interview with Lamb Of God and director Don Argott. The band has an amazing doc coming out about the band and the experience with Randy being arrested. Honored the guys picked me to do this important interview in their history. It will be a bonus on the DVD and also seen in the theatrical releases as well.

Don’t forget to join me and Mike Portnoy for a signing this Saturday 4-6P at Gr8Soundz Music in Hellertown PA. I’ll have copies of my books for sale just in time for the holidays. Also the annual TMS Christmas hang at Dingbatz in Clifton NJ is on for 12/14. I’ll be doing a book signing starting at 7:30 across the street at Dingos Den until around 9P before going in for the party. NO admission for the book signing at Dingos!

11/25: BACK FROM TX & OK, HUGE UPDATE, READ!

Back from a great week on the road in the Dallas area and through parts of Oklahoma for book signings. Everything went well and I appreciate everyone who came out to have their stuff signed or pick up my books. Ran out of the 1st book around half way through the dates. Amazed at how many VOL 1 I am still seeing purchased out there, so thanks. All the events were different. Trees in Dallas was before and during Overkill/Kreator, McKinney was really cool at a great guitar shop called Guitar Sanctuary in a theater. That was a long fun Q&A and a full house! Also did one with Jesse DuPree and Jackyl in OKC and hit Ardmore and a cool club called Two Frogs. Wrapped up Saturday night in Tulsa at Hard Rock Casino. I thank all the venues that hosted me and all the people that came out. In addition to books people asking me to sign all kinds of stuff these days, including books I’m in, liner notes of albums I’ve written, etc. Really cool and fun to meet everyone. I have another signing in PA this Saturday starting 4P at Gr8Soundz Music in Hellertown PA from 4-6. Mike Portnoy sitting in with me on this one! Books signed and sold and Megadeth plays later that night at Sands Casino! Don’t forget my new and first book is still available in stores and digital anywhere books are sold and make a great Christmas or holiday gift. Signed copies of book 1 available direct from me on this site signed. Hope to do that with VOL 2 soon. Hope to do more signings next year as my schedule permits as well in new cities.

Headed to Silver Spring Maryland tomorrow to shoot something with Lamb Of God for their amazing new documentary coming out soon. Details when I have them. Thanks to band, management and label for the opportunity to be a part of it.

A week from tonight I’ll be hosting a Wounded Warriors fund raiser for Wall Street Rocks at Irving Plaza in NYC. Sugar Ray and more will perform. It’s a night or music for a great cause. Mark McGrath is actually a huge metal fan and will call in to my SiriusXM show tonight to discuss this event and more.

Headed to Costa Rica next week to host a big metal festival. My first time going there. Look forward to visiting another country where TMS is seen!

Great response to the new Jake E Lee I premiered this past Friday on the Q104 show. It airs on all affiliates this weekend. I’ll also play it on my SiriusXM show live tonight!

Loving all the comments and debates that I see posted on this site. As long as everything is respectfully stated all are approved regardless if I agree or not. Good forum!

RIP Eric Carr and Freddy Mercury. We lost both 22 years ago yesterday. Eric was a dear friend who I miss to this day.

11/16: TEXAS & OKLAHOMA SIGNINGS ARE HERE, UPDATE!

Headed off on another run of signings for my new book Essential Hard Rock & Metal VOL 2 tomorrow. This time doing a week in TX and OK. I hear from many asking about signings in their city. Just like a band routing a tour, my signings are based on where the opportunities are and of course my schedule. Unlike a band going on the road is not a major money making deal for me, so have to pick my spots carefully when it doesn’t take me too far away from my radio and TV schedule. So I will do my best to add signings when I can in cities around my schedule. In the meantime both of my books are available now anywhere books are sold physical and digital. The first book can be ordered on this site signed direct from me. I hope to make VOL 2 available that way soon but not sure. If you are in Dallas or McKinney TX, or Ardmore, Oklahoma City or Tulsa OK, I hope to see you next week. All the details on the signings are right on the home page under book tour. Most signings do not require any admission except for the Dallas stop at Trees which will require you to have a ticket to Overkill/Kreator that night. If you aren’t interested in that come to McKinney the next night. The OKC date with Jackyl also likely requires a ticket, however I will be at the Vapor Hut in Norman OK for a signing that day 4-6 and that is free. All other signings are totally free admission and all will have both the new and first book available while supplies last. Of course happy to sign any old books or anything else free as well. Should be a fun run in an area of the country that has always been great to me. Please keep an eye on my Twitter (@EddieTrunk) and Facebook/EddieTrunk for last minute changes and updates. I likely won’t update this space much from the road until I return.

Next Friday I will world premiere a brand new song from Jake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel on the Q104.3 /syndicated show. New music is finally coming in Jan from Jake!

Tons of requests for TMS audience tickets. As usual the link will be posted here when VH1 distributes them. They are free but VH1 handles all audience requests. I’ll post and tweet it when I have it. We don’t start taping in NYC until 1/14 and tapings will be every Tuesday night through March. Guests will be announced when confirmed.

Leaving for Dallas Sunday for a week of signings in TX and OK. Please see the dates on the home page for info. Please note the signing in Dallas at Trees this Monday night will require you to have a ticket to the Overkill show to get to me. However I am in McKinney TX Tuesday night not far from Dallas and this is 100% free and also will include a Q&A. Also added on the tour is an appearance at Vapor Hut in Norman OK 11/21 4-6P with Jesse James Dupree. Then over to Chameleon Room for more signings and Jackyl show. 11/13: LIVE W/ ARTIE LANGE TONIGHT. NJ SIGNING ADDED, TX & OK NEXT WEEK, MORE

I’ll be live on the Artie Lange show tonight with Don & Jim at around 10:15PM ET. Artie does a radio/TV show that can be heard on satellite and online, and seen live on DirecTV Audience channel. We are all friends with Artie so this should be lot’s of fun for sure. I was last on with him about 5 weeks ago to promote my new book. Tune in if you can. The video is also usually on Youtube the next day.

Just added a NJ book signing for 12/14 at Dingos Den in Clifton NJ 7:30-9. Dingo is directly across the street from Dingbatz where the TMS annual Christmas bash with live music and more kicks off around 9. NO ADMISSION to come to my book signing at Dingos. Both my new and first book will be available for sale just in time for the holidays. So come by and grab a book at Dingos and hopefully join us across the street for the party after as well. Don’t forget my 1st book still available direct from me personalized and signed. Hit the book tab for order details. I hope to make the new book available via mail signed in a couple weeks if possible but can’t promise when yet. Also please check out the merch store. Great gifts for the holidays!

11/11: ADDED TX SIGNING, NEW TMS NEWS, RADIO TONIGHT, KISS R&R OVER, MORE

Quick update on some stuff as I need to run into NYC for tonight’s live radio show. Join me 6-10P ET on SiriusXM channel 39 TRUNKNation LIVE with Jay Jay French of Twisted Sister in studio and more.

Added a new book signing to the next leg of my tour that kicks off a week from tonight at Trees in Dallas. I will now also be in McKinney Texas 11/19 at The Guitar Sanctuary from 7-9 selling and signing both books and also doing a Q&A in their events center. Please see the home page for all dates as I prepare to hit TX and OK next week! More details there. Hope you all come out!

Thrilled to announce the official return of THAT METAL SHOW for 2014! Season 13 will premiere 1/18 on VH1 Classic. The show is moving its production back to NYC. We are also changing the way we do the shows for the first time. Instead of doing a bunch in a few days and then they roll out over time, we will now be doing a new show in NYC every Tuesday that you will see that Saturday. Also we will do more new episodes in a row per season. Instead of 8, we are now scheduled for 12 in a row once we start up again. So more new ones in a row, and much fresher and quicker to air. The reason we did TMS in LA last few years was because a HUGE amount of the artists were based there. That fact had not changed. But the hope is that with a regular tape schedule and the growth in popularity in the show (THANKS TO YOU!) they will come to NYC to be a part of it. Doing it back home saves us budget and allows for more new episodes. So its yet another phase in this shows amazing story and we will see how it goes. No guest announcements yet, and ticket info will be announced when we get closer here and on my Twitter and FB as always. I’ve now been on VH1 Classic since 2002, and I am honored and thrilled to continue working with them as well as my TMS partners Don & Jim. It’s amazing what this show has become and I am grateful. On to season 13! Much more to be announced soon. (Don’t forget the annual Dingbatz TMS Christmas party is 12/14 in Clifton this year).

Kiss R&R Over came out 37 years ago today. Crazy! That means 37 years ago I got my first Kiss album and my life was changed and set on this course of rock obsession. At 12 I purchased Destroyer today. Since R&R Over was new my friend suggested the album before as the introduction to Kiss. Hugely pivotal moment in my life for sure. And taking all the silly Kiss arguing out of it, thanks to Gene, Paul, Ace & Peter for my first taste of hard rock music and setting me on this path. Now on to the R&R Hall let’s hope FINALLY!

Last but certainly not least, THANK YOU VETERANS!
