DEF LEPPARD FRONTMAN JOE ELLIOTT’S DOWN N’ OUTZ “ROCK ‘N’ ROLL QUEEN’ VIDEO POSTED ONLINE

joeelliot400 Joe Elliott’s rocking side project Down ‘n’ Outz has crafted a new video for the track Rock ’n’ Roll Queen that Billboard exclusively premiered today (May 29th). Watch it below.

The tune-the single from Down ‘n’ Outz’ album The Further Adventures Of… -is a riff-heavy bit of bad-boy honkey tonk and the Lee Ford-directed video takes us there with live performance footage shot at Sheffield’s Corporation nightclub earlier this month, complete with lusty shots of the audience.

“Shooting a video in a dark, dirty and seedy nightclub in Sheffield brought back some great memories of being at such a club watching bands as a teenager,” said Elliott. “The perfect setting for the D&Os to blast through some fantastic retro rock!”

GUNS N’ ROSES FRONTMAN AXL ROSE RESPONDS TO LIST DUBBING HIM “WORLD’S GREATES SINGER”

AxlRose Kory Grow of Rolling Stone reports that Guns N’ Roses Frontman Axl Rose has responded to an unscientific, albeit virally popular, list of The World’s Greatest Singers, which placed him in the top spot. The list claimed he had a range that spanned nearly seven octaves, with his lowest note allegedly appearing in the 2008 Chinese Democracy song There Was a Time and his highest in his cover of the Dead Boys’ Ain’t It Fun, which appeared on the group’s 1994 covers album The Spaghetti Incident?. He said that he found the recognition flattering and humbling, according to Spin, though he wouldn’t top his own list of the greatest singers.

“If I had to say who I thought the best singers were, I’d say first that I don’t know there’s a definitive answer as in my opinion it’s subjective, and second that my focus is primarily rock singers,” he told Spin. “That said, I enjoy Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, [Nazareth singer] Dan McCafferty, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Roger Daltrey, Don Henley, [Electric Light Orchestra frontman] Jeff Lynne, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, [jazz singer] Jimmy Scott, Etta James, Fiona Apple, [Pretenders frontwoman] Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and a ton of others (predominantly Seventies rock singers) and would rather hear any of them anytime rather than me!”

Guns N’ Roses are currently in the middle of a 12-date residency at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

ACE FREHLEY DEBUTS “GIMME A FEELIN'” VIA ROLLING STONE ALL NEW LP “SPACE INVADER” OUT THIS SUMMER!

acefrehley400 Founding KISS guitarist and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ace Frehley has debuted an all new single titled Gimme a Feelin’ exclusively through
Rolling Stone today (May 29th). The new effort serves as the first single from his all new LP Space Invader slated for a summer release via eOne Music.

Gimme a Feelin’ is available for purchase on iTunes and Space Invader is available for pre-order via Amazon.

Widely known as the original “Space Ace” and founding guitarist for 16 cumulative years (over 2 tenures) of the multi platinum selling rock band KISS, Frehley is demonstrably the most popular original member. In addition to having the best selling solo album career (vintage or current) among the original foursome, Frehley’s self titled Ace Frehley, released in 1978, went on to sell over one million copies, producing the only Top 40 single, New York Groove, from any of the legendary KISS solo albums; (peaking at #13). The massive hit was most recently featured in an episode of cult show Entourage and was also KISS’ second best selling download in 2012, besting such KISS Army anthems as I Was Made For Lovin’ You, Beth and Calling Dr. Love even after 36 years.

Since departing from KISS, Frehley went on to release four more solo albums and one live EP including his most recent effort, Anomaly in 2009, which debuted at #27 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and received a welcoming response among critics.

You can catch Ace Frehley accepting his award at the 29th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction Ceremony on May 31st at 8pm on HBO.
