HarperCollins Publishers has set an October 22nd for Brothers, a new book from legendary Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen. The 384-page book is categorized under “Biography & Autobiography” and currently has a list price of $32.00.
Eddie and Alex Van Halen formed a band called Mammoth in Pasadena, California in 1972, then renamed it Van Halen when singer David Lee Roth joined the group and, later, bassist Michael Anthony.
Van Halen was one of the biggest rock bands in the country in the 1980s, with hits like Runnin’ With The Devil, Ain’t Talking’ Bout Love, Unchained, Jump, Panama and Hot For Teacher. The group, which later featured Sammy Hagar on vocals, was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2007.

Never thought I needed to read a book about them, but I think I’ll be getting this one. I’ve been listening to all their early stuff lately and still love every note. Such an amazing band back then. Never cared for the Sammy era stuff though. Looking forward to the book, should be interesting.
I am with you on the early VH, classic.
Just imagine Patty Smyth on lead vocals
No thanks-LOL!
I hope it’s the unfiltered truth about his life in and out of Van Halen. The good, the bad, the ups and downs. I hope he also breaks down each album experience.
