OZZY OSBOURNE COMMENTS ON JAKE E. LEE SHOOTING

As previously reported, former Ozzy Osbourne, and former Badlands guitarist, Jake E. Lee, was shot multiple times yesterday, early morning in Las Vegas, while reportedly walking his dog. Lee is expected to make a full recovery.

In light of this tragic event, Ozzy sent a statement to TMZ, that read, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be OK.”

Additionally, our own Eddie Trunk wrote via social media,  that Lee “was hit three times — in the chest, arm and foot. Bullets missed all major organs except [his] lung. But, he is doing well and expected to make a full recovery.”

  1. I would expect a little bit more than that from Ozzy, why does it always seem to take a tragic event for people to focus on what really matters – LIFE!!

    1. Hi Rattle,

Great question, maybe Eddie knows? I thought, I once heard. that the artist’s really have no say, in who inducts them and plays, that is up to the Rock Hall.

If you read Ozzy‘s PR release, it seems fairly obvious, that he did not personall choose, any of the people, inducting him. I think if given a choice, I cannot imagine him, personally picking Jack Black (who ironically worships Dio) nor Maynard James, as his top picks.
