  1. Posting in correct article (Thanks Dana):

First, I will say that I am a huge fan of Zakk and the band. I’m also a huge fan of Zakk’s work with Ozzy and other artists.

With that said, in my opinion, Zakk has been rewriting the same songs for a very long time now. Same notes, same chords, but with different timings and orders. This song is no different. I honestly believe he just doesn’t have any more ideas and has reached a writing block that he cannot overcome. It happens.

The musicianship is great in this band but this song is stale. I was truly hoping for a new direction but got the same old same old. I’m very disappointed. It hurts to say this because I love Zakk and I’ve met him. He’s a genuinely good person. I’d much rather have a long overdue live record from BLS than another studio record.

    1. RPS,

No thanks necessary, I would have posted it far sooner, but I was out running errands.

Reagrding the song, I don’t mind it. It has the usual Sabbath influence, and to me, I guess Wylde‘s attitude is, like that of AC/DC, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I sometimes wish that Judas Priest subscribed to that philosophy, especially in terms of, Turbo. However, I do admit, that I did like a few of the songs on that album, namely Private Property and Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Days. 😉

  2. I like several songs from Turbo Dana: Turbo Lover/Out In The Cold/Parental Guidance/Private Property/Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Days.

It’s not a go-to Priest album for me but I still like it overall. The 30th Anniversary cd is pretty awesome.

  3. Hate to say it, but I have to agree with RPS. I like BLS, but expect something more. I felt the last album was kinda of a disappointment.

If getting into “Turbo,” I prefer “Rocka Rolla.” Only liked one song on “Turbo.”
