I prefer “The Spirit Of Radio,” but will there be a podcast with Lifeson as well?
Oops, brain fart on my part, LOL! I overlooked 7/23 on the 7/15 page in the Trunk report. Probably because I had Def Leppard on my mind, 7/23 same day/night I’m going to see DL at Jones Beach. Cheers!
Admittedly off topic here, but has anyone seen the Thin Lizzy performance at High Voltage 2011? I recorded it this weekend and just watched it. This lineup of Scott Gorham (G), Brian Downey (D) and Darren Wharton (K) joined by Ricky Warwick (V,Almighty), Marco Mendoza (B,Sykes,Whitesnake) and Richard Fortus (G, Guns’N’Roses) is damn good. I would have liked to have seen these guys.
Is that the show that Black Country Communion and Rival Sons played and Judas Priest headlined? I saw that when VH1 Classic first broadcast it. Lizzy were great on that day. If you liked that band with Ricky fronting it, check out Blackstar Riders.
I was also quite surprised at what a capable lead guitarist Richard Fortus is. Previously, I had only seen him as a rhythm guitarist with G&R, but he was throwing down some serious solos. I love 70’s style rock.
