2/10: HOUSTON APPEARANCE, TED NUGENT TMS, ALTER BRIDGE, MORE.

Just back from my first visit to Houston this past Saturday night and really my first ever ticketed live speaking engagement. It went down at Concert Pub North and I had no idea what to expect going in. So needless to say I was BLOWN AWAY that nearly 500 people came out to hang with me, hear me tell some stories and do some Q&A. It was a GREAT audience and a true honor for sure. Still amazed to be honest and grateful for the support. After I did about 90 minutes on stage I sat and signed and took photos with everyone in the place for at least another 2 hours. Can not thank you all enough for the incredible support for what I do. Also thanks to John and JD at Concert Pub and the local bands who also played that night, including a killer UFO tribute called Lights Out. It was a great night and I hope to book more Eddie Trunk Live dates soon! Keep an eye on the home page. This Saturday I am at Starland in NJ with my TMS partners Don & Jim for a night of comedy and more. The show is almost sold out so get your tix now if you want to come out. Please note. NO live club gigs by any of us are filmed or used for TMS. They are either speaking dates or comedy shows only. TMS is only done on the set in NYC with VH1C. Thanks.

Speaking of TMS, HUGE response to the Ted Nugent show this week! I’d say 80% very positive and people loved we kept it all about music. There are some of course that are anti Ted and I respect your positions but don’t agree. From a TV/interview perspective I love people that let it fly. We are in a day and age that everyone is SO PC, so afraid to say anything the least bit different than the norm. Everyone is just ready to pounce at anything anyone says that is different from their view. So it is refreshing as heck to have a guy like Ted who just says what he thinks. Do I agree with everything he has done and said? No. But I respect his right to say it. I have said this many times; I watch Bill OReilly and Bill Maher, and love both equally. I sure don’t agree with all they both say, but I love they have the balls to say it, especially in this hyper sensitive world of social media we are in today. I also grew up loving Howard Stern, having strong opinions sure as hell didn’t hurt him. But TMS is a music show, and Ted talked and played all music, and most loved it! It also got many talking about TMS and debating his appearance and that sure doesn’t suck either. I thought it was a great show about music, which as I say in my second book in the chapter on Ted, he is often sadly overlooked for at times. This episode repeats all week on VH1C.

Back live on SiriusXM 39 TRUNKNation tonight 6-10P ET. Myles Kennedy & Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge in studio. They will also be this weeks TMS guests that we tape tomorrow night in NYC.

Both of my books available signed from me on this site as well as all new Merch including hats and shirts. Please see the respective tabs for info. Books under Media tab for order info. Thanks.

2/5: NUGENT ON TMS, THE POLL, HOUSTON SATURDAY, ALTER BRIDGE

Well we have been having the “polar vortex” Winter here on the E Coast (more snow today!) and yesterday at TMS we had the Ted Vortex! Yes Nugent paid a visit for the first time to our show and spent the entire hour with us and was great! We even got him up to jam a little at the end of the show! As I have said many times, I love outspoken personalities even if I don’t agree with all they say, and Ted is that and more. The focus of the visit is 100% music based which is what we and Ted wanted to do. As I say in my new book I think people forget the great songs and great playing this guy has done. He has been making music since the 60s! So that is the focus for me, politics and hunting were back burner. Also thanks to Gary Hoey who played guitar and Biff from Saxon who checked in via Skype. See it all premiere this Saturday 11/10C on VH1 Classic!

The poll on this site had to be removed temporarily because it caused a tech problem that actually took the site down for a bit yesterday. Webmaster David is exploring this and will return the poll once we know the program is secure for the site.

Hearing from many coming to my live appearance in Houston this Saturday at Concert Pub North. This should be a good time. The night will consist of me doing Q&A and telling some stories and a little live trivia as well. Then I will sell and sign both of my books. The venue will also have live bands after my time on stage. Tons of appearances being added for the Summer so be sure to keep an eye on the home page listings.

All new show this Friday on Q104.3 NYC 11P-2A loaded with new and classic rock and metal. Live show this Monday on SiriusXM 39 TRUNKNation 6-10P ET. Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge sit in with me!

2/3: TRUNKNATION, HOUSTON SATURDAY, KISS, NUGENT, MORE

Sorry didn’t make it in for a show tonight on SiriusXM. Still fighting a stomach bug and we were hammered by a bad snow storm here in the NJ/NY area today. No way I could get in if I wanted to and I have no set up in my house from the company. I will be back live next Monday for TrunkNation. More details when we get closer.

Shooting TMS with Ted Nugent tomorrow. First time having him on the show and yes, it’s TMS, so the focus will be music! Had Ted on my radio show recently and was refreshing to talk music with him there as well. Also in the show will be Biff from Saxon via Skype. Gary Hoey plays guitar. It will premiere this Saturday.

I suspect you might be hearing something from some members of Kiss and the HOF soon.. General public tickets are going on sale soon and people still wondering what will or won’t happen, we shall see.. More here when news to share.

Thanks to all who are coming out to see me at Concert Pub North in Houston this Saturday. Should be a blast!

2/2: MILWAUKEE RECAP, WINGER, NUGENT, TMS, THE HOG, HOUSTON THIS SATURDAY!

Congrats to Robin Hill of Arkansas who wins the balcony cabin for two given away on this site for the MOR Cruise! Thanks to all who entered and see you on board late March!

As you can see by popular request the Poll is back on the home page. Topics will be updated every week or so. A great way to interact and let your opinion be counted.

Thanks to all I met in Milwaukee this past Thursday and Friday night at Northern Lights Theater at Potawatomi Casino. Had a blast hanging with you all and hosting two nights with Winger. The band is really sounding great with all original members and Jon Roth still on board there are songs with 3 guitars going that sound amazing. These guys are another band that deserves props for doing everything live. Always was absurd they got hit the hardest in the 80’s backlash but in reality are among the eras best talents as far as musicians. Also want to thank everyone who came out to the two book signings and sold out of my books. Much appreciated. If I was sold out when you got to me you can get either books anywhere you can buy them and signed copies direct from me on this site. Also need to thank Joe & Borna and everyone at 102.9 The Hog in Milwaukee. I went on their show Friday afternoon and they informed me on air they would be adding my weekly syndicated FM show! So cool to have Milwaukee on board for our network of great stations! Time and start date TBA soon. So likely be seeing you more often in this area of the country in the future!

Next appearance this Saturday in Houston! See you all at Concert Pub NORTH for a live Q&A and more. Plus both of my books will be signed and sold and there will be live bands after I am done on stage. So many requests to come to Houston so really look forward to this Saturday night!

Thanks to all who watched this weeks new TMS and of course all the guests; Bumblefoot, Frank Bello, Dave Ellefson and Lzzy Hale. Also was cool to see the package from my 30th radio party. Sadly for publishing reasons we could not air songs or actual performance audio on TV, but I think it showed what an epic night it was. There may be more footage coming that will be posted online. We tape another episode this Tuesday that you will see this Saturday and I am pumped to welcome for the first time Ted Nugent for the full hour! And we will talk MUSIC with Ted, something rarely done with him in media these days it seems.

I’ll be live 6-10P ET SiriusXM 39 tomorrow, TRUNKNation.

Enjoy the Super Bowl, more soon.

1/29: TMS, LZZY, BUMBLE, ELLEFSON, BELLO, WINGER IN MILWAUKEE, MORE

Episode 3 of the new season of TMS is being edited as we speak and will premiere this Saturday night 11P ET on VH1 Classic. We discuss the Motley farewell announcement and welcome guests David Ellefson, Frank Bello (who have a new band together), Lzzy Hale (who joined us via Skype) and Bumblefoot who plays during the show. Top 5 is the best Anthrax songs. Had a blast, hope you like it.

A friend who runs a label shared with me some interesting news about TMS this week. My Pick Of The Week for our debut this season was Scorpion Child. After that show aired the label saw a more than 100% increase in album sales right afterwards. As a matter of fact all of our picks show a major sales spike after we feature them on TMS as does the guests latest products they plug. It’s great to see this show have a positive impact on sorely lacking sales in rock/metal music and I appreciate all you guys watching and responding. These bands can use the help for sure. Was just really cool to see the impact of TMS and how rock music CAN sell if it is presented to an audience that cares about it. And that’s the huge difference, YOU the audience! He also told me when bands do Letterman or Leno the sales spike is not nearly as dramatic. Now clearly those are way way bigger shows and I am not for a minute trying to compare TMS to them. But not everyone who watches them cares about rock. If you watch TMS you do, and that explains the great reactions in sales. So thanks, it all helps the cause of rock and metal music!

My FM radio show featuring the interview with Joey DeMaio airs on all affiliates and online outlets this weekend listed on the site. My SiriusXM interviews are on the SiriusXM app.

Headed to Milwaukee tomorrow. Hope to see you for two nights of Winger at Northern Lights tomorrow and Friday night. Tickets still available for tomorrow show. I’ll be in the lobby selling and signing my books at 7 each night, show starts at 8.

I love Motley Crue’s reasons for retiring. How many bands go out with the original lineup? So many stay too long at the party. So IF they truly end as they say, it’s a classy way to cap an amazing career. We shall see.. Mick Mars will be on TMS this season!

Please be sure to check out the Eddie Trunk/TrunkNation merch in the online store on this site. Appreciate all that have purchased and represent out there. Thanks!
