Z2 CELEBRATE MOTÖRHEAD’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY WITH “NO REMORSE: THE ILLUSTRATED TRUE STORIES OF LEMMY KILMISTER AND MOTÖRHEAD

In celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the legendary Motörhead, Z2 has gathered a staggering line-up of icons to narrate their personal encounters with the man that came to define the sex, drugs, and Rock & Roll lifestyle, Lemmy Kilmister. No Remorse: The Illustrated True Stories Of Lemmy Kilmister And Motörhead kicks off this 176-page tribute with a deeply personal foreword by his dear friend Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and a truly touching afterword by his longtime friend and collaborator Ozzy Osbourne

The book pairs 25 rockstar contributors with 25 acclaimed illustrators to tell the stories of their true and unbelievable personal encounters with the heralded founding father of Motörhead. Recounting their history with Lemmy over the span of his life and career are some of the greatest living musicians – Ozzy Osbourne, Lars Ulrich, Slash, Chrissie Hynde, Dee Snider, Dave Navarro, plus world-class writers Neil Gaiman, Michael Moorcock, pro-wrestling giants Triple H, Corey Graves, TV & Film luminaries including Matt Pinfield, Penelope Spheeris, Riki Rachtman, as well as his bandmates Phil Campbell, Mikkey Dee, and Slim Jim Phantom.

With a gorgeous variety of visual approaches the artists of NO REMORSE: The Illustrated True Stories of Lemmy Kilmister and Motörhead; including Dave Chisholm, Bob Fingerman, Jay Jay Jackson, and Jim Mahfood capture the many facets of these incredible true tales of Lemmy Kilmister. The cover art is illustrated and designed by comic book legend Tim Bradstreet (Punisher, Hellblazer) and features the gleam of a holographic coating on Lemmy’s classic aviator specs!

“Anyone who ever crossed paths with Lemmy Kilmister left with a very unique experience and stories to share for a lifetime,” says Josh Bernstein, Z2 President and the book’s co-editor/designer. “The outpouring of those stories from his friends and family, paired with some of underground art’s greatest illustrators, brings Lemmy and Motörhead roaring back to life on every page.”

Like all Z2 collaborations, this book comes in a variety of highly-collectible editions, including the 1:5 “All-Access” Edition which features a framed AAA Artist Pass from Lemmy’s 70th birthday party at the Whisky A Go-Go; and the 1:25 “Backstage” Edition that comes with a framed original 2012-2013 Motörhead tour laminate. All of these artifacts are from the personal collection of Lemmy Kilmister. The No Remorse editions of the book will come with an exclusive white vinyl variant of the legendary Motörhead double LP, No Remorse, a poster triptych set by renowned designer Hydro74, and a three-card collectors set presented in a custom frame featuring the art of the iconic thrash-metal painter Ed Repka (Megadeth, Super7).

All collector editions will include the oversized deluxe volume of the No Remorse: The Illustrated True Stories Of Lemmy Kilmister And Motörhead book contained in a metallic foil embossed slipcase, with die cuts that reveal the holographic coating on Lemmy’s classic aviator specs on the cover of the book. All editions available for Preorder now.

From his early years, Lemmy gravitated to the live-fast attitude of rock & roll, starting out as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix, joining the seminal space-rock outfit Hawkwind and famously getting fired from the band for “doing the wrong drugs.” Forming Motörhead in 1975 after his dismissal, he set out to kick things up and create an aural assault, the likes of which had not been heard. Lemmy Kilmister became the unequaled standard for the Rock & Roll lifestyle.

Of their first meeting, Dave Grohl recounts, “until then I’d never met what I’d call a real rock ‘n’ roll hero before. Fuck Elvis and Keith Richards, Lemmy’s the king of rock ‘n’ roll. A living, breathing, drinking, snorting, fucking legend. No one else comes close.” It’s the life of a Rock & Roll legend, and No Remorse: The Illustrated True Stories of Lemmy Kilmister and Motörhead captures it all.

Story Contributors: Sir Neil Warnock, Wayne Kramer, Michael Moorcock, Ozzy Osbourne, Phil Campbell, Chrissie Hynde, Kim McAuliffe, Slim Jim Phantom, Lars Ulrich, Neil Gaiman, Dee Snider, Slash, Steffan Chirazi, Lita Ford, Riki Rachtman, Penelope Spheeris, Dave Navarro, Mikkey Dee, Mikael Maglieri Jr., Todd Singerman, Lar Frederiksen, Dave Grohl, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Matt Pinfield, Josh Bernstein, Steve Luna, Corey Graves.

JON BON JOVI DISCUSSES HIS CURRENT RELATIONSHIP WITH FORMER GUITARIST RICHIE SAMBORA, BAND’S NEW ALBUM, “FOREVER” DUE JUNE 7TH, FIRST SINGLE “LEGENDARY” OUT NOW

Ultimate Classic Rock‘s Bryan Rolli reports:

Jon Bon Jovi has not been in contact with former bandmate and guitarist Richie Sambora, despite both musicians participating in the upcoming Bon Jovi docuseries Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.

The four-part series will debut on April 26th on Hulu and Disney+ internationally. It features various members from Bon Jovi’s past and present, documenting their rise to stardom and precarious future.

When asked if he talked to Sambora about what was going to be in the docuseries, Bon Jovi tells UCR, “Not a word. That was [director] Gotham Chopra. This wasn’t a puff piece and this was no bullshit. This is not us behind the scenes pulling strings. Oh, no, no, no. They interviewed Richie in London. I wasn’t there. I had nothing to do with it. No, I still haven’t seen the [finished] product…”

While Bon Jovi says there is no bad blood, there’s been no communication between them lately. “We’re not in contact because he’s not in the organization any longer,” the singer explains. “Doesn’t mean that there’s not love forever, but it’s 11 years ago that he just didn’t show up anymore. And there were emotional issues that he was dealing with as a single dad, and there were substance abuse issues that, you know … Phil X had to show up one time, and then Phil X had to show up another time. And then, again, there’s a show that night. What are we gonna do?”

Bon Jovi‘s new album, Forever, will be released on June 7th, and is available for pre-order. The band released a video for the first single, Legendary, which can be viewed below.

SEBASTIAN BACH TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM, “CHILD WITHIN THE MAN,” ON MAY 10TH, LYRIC VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE, “EVERYBODY BLEEDS” OUT NOW

“An album more than 10 years in the making.” That’s how former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach describes his new solo LP, Child Within The Man, set for release on May 10th through Reigning Phoenix Music.

The 11-track album was recorded in Orlando, Florida; produced and mixed by Michael “Elvis” Baskette; engineered by Jef Moll, assistant engineered by Josh Saldate and mastered by Robert Ludwig of Gateway MasteringBachwrote or co-wrote all the album’s tracks and sang all lead and backing vocals.

Child Within The Man features guest appearances from John 5 (Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) and Orianthi (Alice Cooper, Michael Jackson) — who all co-wrote their respective tracks with Bach — and two tracks co-written with Alter Bridge‘s Myles Kennedy (What Do I Got to Lose? (listen to the single here) and To Live Again). Devin Bronson (guitars),Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Colson (drums) round out the players on the album. The album will be available on jewelcase CD, cassette, and double LP in a variety of color options.

March 15th also marks the release of Sebastian‘s first-ever lyric performance video for the album’s latest single, Everybody Bleeds. The song — with lyrics by Bach — addresses the universal truths of pain with such lines as “Everybody bleeds / Everybody burns / Everybody drowns…”

“I have been putting out records since the year 1989,” Sebastian says. “Thank YOU for 35 years of Bach N’ Roll…all leading up to Child Within The Man. If you like the records I have put out in the past, I can GUARANTEE that you will enjoy the new album. THIS is the kind of Rock N’ Roll that keeps you young ! Can’t wait for you all to crank up Child Within The Man — a magical elixir to the Fountain of Youth! Gone Wild! Forever! It’s all one big song! TURN IT UP!”

The album artwork holds special meaning since it was designed by Bach‘s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024,” Sebastian quips.

Bach adds “RPM Records has provided me with the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll fantasy dream come true…to make my ultimate rock ‘n’ roll record! With the team of players and production on this album, I can honestly say we have made the best record that we could possibly make. The packaging is of the highest standard in every way. The vinyl, CD, & cassette formats all have been made to exact specifications! The 45 RPM double gatefold sleeve vinyl editions come in three eco-formats which are the highest standard of vinyl sound. Plus multicoloured variations including a Glow In The Dark special for all you rock collectors out there.”

Child Within The Man track listing is as follows:

1.  Everybody Bleeds
2.  Freedom (featuring John 5)
3.  (Hold On) To The Dream
4.  What Do I Got To Lose?
5.  Hard Darkness
6.  Future Of Youth (featuring Orianthi)
7.  Vendetta
8.  F.U. (featuring Steve Stevens)
9.  Crucify Me
10. About To Break
11. To Live Again

The album’s first single, What Do I Got To Lose?, continues to build momentum at rock radio. It was co-written by SebastianKennedy and Baskette, the latter of whom also served as the track’s producer.

In advance of the album’s release, Bach will hit the road in 2024 for an international tour with dates in Latin and North America. The What Do I Got To Lose? tour is a mix of solo gigs and festival appearances that kicks off with an international run of performances in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile before North American shows in the U.S. and Mexico. The stateside tour gets underway May 10th in Jefferson, Louisiana before wrapping June 29th in San Diego, California. Please click here, to see all of Bach’s current tour dates.

Bach performed What Do I Got To Lose? live for the first time during his February 24th concert at Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Bach released the official music video for What Do I Got To Lose? in December. The clip was directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera. For the video, which shows Bach cruising through the desert in a convertible and performing with a full band, Sebastian was joined by his former Skid Row bandmate, drummer Rob Affuso. The clip also features an appearance by actor and comedian Craig Gass and Sebastian‘s wife Suzanne, who plays a scantily clad car wash attendant.

“To me, What Do I Got To Lose? is the perfect sentiment for me right now,” Sebastian said about the track. “It’s an anthem for coming back and crushing it. It’s time to lay down the law and put the hammer down old school-style.”
