IRON MAIDEN TO RELEASE CLASSIC 80’s VINYL REISSUES
Parlophone Records (BMG/INgrooves Music Group for the USA) will follow the 2012/13 Iron Maiden vinyl picture disc reissues of the first eight Iron Maiden albums, which spanned the 1980s, with brand new pressings of the albums in heavyweight 180g black vinyl.
In conjunction with these premium album releases, a strictly limited one-off run of the 7” singles from each respective album will be made available. These highly collectable black vinyl singles will be cut from the original analogue master tapes. Released in replica artwork packaging, they are sure to become a must-have item for fans, collectors and anyone who missed out first time round.
The albums will also be cut from the original analogue master tapes and packaged in identical artwork to the initial 1980’s releases. As a bonus, the first batch of album releases (Iron Maiden/Killers/The Number Of The Beast) will also be made available in a Collector’s Box sized to house all 8 albums. This package will be a strictly limited edition and available while stocks last.
The records will be released chronologically across a two month period starting October 13th (14th USA) with the first 3 albums (Iron Maiden/Killers/The Number Of The Beast) and the seven corresponding 7” singles:

How about MAIDEN JAPAN? No big deal, but I haven’t heard it in decades and music is about nostalgia.
YES! I want that on cd so badly, the lead guitar Murray does on “Killers” is mindblowing! Love that EP!
Every Maiden fan has all of that stuff. Probably on tape and CD. It is all great, but Maiden Japan would be an attention getter. I got it for Christmas in the mid 80s and it was my name intro to the Di’Anno era which had great songs. If I saw it in Best Buy, I’d but it in a heartbeat.
May have seen that on ebay in the past.
I love that ep to! Dave’s slow solo on Remember Tomorrow is haunting sounding. Paul’s voice is powerful and more gritty and mean sounding than on the studio albums. The screams he lets loose at the beginning of Killers is still some of the best, most evil sounding screams ever recorded, in my opinion.
Its very surprising that Maiden Japan is not part of the offering. Maiden is usually smarter than this.
I’m sure businesses factors in, Paul Di’Anno refers to MAIDEN as “the money making machine”. I don’t like erasing history. BORN AGAIN was thought of as shit for over 20 years, now it is some sort of flawed masterpiece. Who new? If anything that album shows Di’Anno as a cool frontman. I WANT OUT a live EP by HELLOWEEN is also inexplicably no where to be found. Forget these fancy CDs just be true to history. Also if those guys start up with those top ten lists again, I’m going to the police. If hostile forces get hold of that nonsense, they won’t hesitate to use those lists against use. The only thing missing was KINGDOM COMES debut album on a list without ZEPPELIN.
Kingdome Come…LOL, good one. I like Dianno as the original singer in Maiden. But as a person, he ranks up there with Axl, simply a terrible human being. The fact that he critiques Maiden as ‘the money making machine’, all the while he attaches the name ‘Beast’ to every tour or song or album that he can. His critique of Dickenson has always been laughable and shows his bitterness towards being replaced some 33 or so years ago, as if he could sing Where Eagles Dare, Moonchild, Run to The Hills, and the list goes on and on. The extremely pitiful thing is that he has actually put out some decent solo stuff over the years. But his homophobic slurs on stage, his nastiness with fans that come see him in shit hole clubs is tiring. NO SHIT you were the original singer in Maiden. How about getting on with your life and focusing on what Paul Dianno can deliver instead of how bitter the former singer of Iron Maiden is 30+ Plus years after you got dumped for a better performer than you. I’ll await the Bruce-haters responses now..
All true. His autobiography contains outright hideous stuff. I comend his honesty, but a guy who matter of factly talks about hospitalizing women is garbage unworthy of life. That said, imagine if he had his act together what he could have done. There is good solo stuff and he would have been very interesting for something like VELVET REVOLVER. He would rather fight audience members in remote areas over nonsense than sing at a high level. A damn shame he is just a bully who wanted to be a punk rock singer and no one cares anymore. Still, MAIDEN JAPAN re-released maybe with some extra songs I would be more interested in than this whole set. Not to mention HEADLESS CROSS, TYR, FORDIDDEN and CROSS PURPOSES by some other British group.
Cool, I like vinyls. It’s too bad they will probably cost $20-30 a pop, so it will be just as expensive as buying the originals.

When I was a kid, more than half of my bedroom wall was completely covered from the floor to the ceiling in Iron Maiden posters. I had a giant door poster of Eddie smashing through a door that scared the hell out of my little brother. I even bought silk tapestries and used them as window curtains. I am a huge old school Maiden fan and I will definitely buy these cool reissues.
It’d also be cool if they released an oversized coffee table book of all the original Derek Riggs artwork. There may be something like that already, but I’ve never seen it if it does exist. I’ve managed to hold on to a lot of the original Maiden posters and memorabilia I’ve had since I was a kid. The original posters I had on my bedroom wall that survived have been framed for at least a couple of decades now and some are 30 years old.
