Judas Priest coming to town, Slash/MSG interview, AAF to cancel Eddie, more.
5/1/08: Here we are, May already, incredible. Good news is football season is just a few months away! This week it's Judas Priest season, and as always I have all of you covered with tons of exclusive Priest interviews and more. Rob, KK, and Glenn will be live in the studio with me for both the XM show this Monday and the Q104/syndicated show Friday 5/9/08. I also will have a new MSG TV interview with the guys and some new Priest music to play. Call in and talk to the guys during these two special shows.
Speaking of MSG, great response to the Slash interview. Now with the all new site you can see video of this and more right now on the home page. So many cool things still to come to the new site. Hope you are all liking and getting used to the new layout. If you are trying to email me please note I do not yet have a public address for this site and I'm not seeing your email. That will be corrected soon.
I'll be at the Kiss Expo Saturday later in the day. I'll be there from around 7-9PM.
In addition to music I'm a big movie fan. Netflix is a great tool because there is so much junk out there and it's a great way to see stuff without getting burned. Take the film Cloverfield. What a joke. Not only is there no story or point at all, but there is also some real 9/11 like shots that were exploitive in my opnion. Totally sucked. How about a story with a movie? What a concept! No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood were both good, but not as good as I thought they would be. Check out a movie called Before The Devil Knows Your Dead, under the radar but better thah most recently.
Hate to tease you but I have some MAJOR stuff in the works I hope to share with you soon. Keep a close eye on the site and be sure we have your email in the data base.
I am sad to report that my show is being discontinued on WAAF/Boston. The final show scheduled to be heard there is May 18th and it will be a good one featuring Judas Priest. This is a decision being made by station management. I certainly wish the program would continue there but have no control over it. Of course we hope another station in the area picks the program up, but again, that is up to the stations respective management. If your in the Boston area and want to continue to hear my show there let the rock stations know about it! Thanks for all the support to that great audience, hope to stay on in the area in some way but it's not up to me.
The new Scorpions DVD from 2006 is available now on import. They bring out all the former members and it is unreal. Even though it is an import it will play on US systems. So cool to hear Uli and Michael play with them and the set list is incredible! Great live band and a great DVD that celebrates their history. One of the best I've seen and the audio actually seems 100% live! What a concept!! Thanks to Mike Portnoy for hooking me up with it.
