GUITARIST TED NUGENT PREMIERES NEW SONG “I LOVE MY BBQ” JUST IN TIME FOR JULY 4TH
In celebration of all the grilling and outdoor cooking that will be happening all over the U.S. this Fourth of July, multi-platinum guitar icon Ted Nugent has unleashed another track–appropriately titled, I Love My BBQ, from his upcoming album, SHUTUP&JAM!, out July 8th on Frontiers Records.

SHUTUP&JAM! marks the first all-new studio album from the Motor City Madman in seven years. Nugent leads the pack of renowned musicians, handling guitar and vocal duties, alongside bassist Greg Smith, drummer Mick Brown and longtime musical cohort guitarist/vocalist Derek St. Holmes. Special guest Sammy Hagar brings his vocal power to the lead single, She’s Gone, for an epic lead vocal duet with Nugent. The song also features a special performance from one of the most respected drummers in rock, Johnny “Bee” Badanjek of the legendary Detroit band Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. She’s Gone is available for free on iTunes for fans who pre-order the album there (for those who don’t know, this means the song will automatically download to their iTunes once they complete the pre-order purchase).

I wondered where you had been hiding. Back from another tour in Iraq?
OH MY GOD! IS HE SERIOUS! How the Hell could he go from “Stranglehold” in 1975 to “I Love My BBQ” in 2014? Did he fall out of a tree stand and hit his head on every branch on the way down? I think Ted has finally lost touch with reality. It’s so bad of a song that I don’t know whether to laugh or be pissed off. If this steaming pile doesn’t win every year end pole for worst song, then that’s the clear sign of the apocalypse, boys and girls.
The demographic of god fearing, bible toting, red neck, right wing, bbq loving, beer swilling, ultra-patriots will eat this up. It’s really too bad, Ted is a great classic guitar player.
I like a good BBQ, but think Ted should shut up. You know, the “Polack” reference at 2:09 is stupid, but then so is Ted. It’s an ethnic slur. People from Poland are called Poles.
