Still have three Ted Nugent albums from the 70s (Free For All, Double Live Gonzo and Scream Dream).
He was a rocker back then and I was young and didn’t have a clue. I still like some of the tunes, but…
Now, he’s so outspoken politically, a real right-wing redneck, I wouldn’t spend a nickel on him.
I love animals and don’t like guns, so it’s pretty tough to be a Ted Nugent fan.

      Amen to that.
Over the years he has become my hate object number one. I just can’t stand him and his racist crap.

    • Robb on

      Agreed…

    • Rik Page on

Yet, you read the article and posted….

  • Steve on

    Right on, guys.
Couldn’t agree more, like some of his old stuff, but can’t stand the guy and his redneck views.

  • Anti-Liberal on

You liberals never cease to amaze me! Is Ted a racist or does he just present facts? Are Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson racists? They certainly are much more racist than Uncle Ted! Ted is not a racist! Oh yeah, my 2nd amendment rights shall not be infringed! I will continue to carry my firearm legally with my CCW permits so that I can protect myself from the thugs that illegally buy guns on the streets, I will continue to hunt and kill animals with my guns and bow & arrows and I will continue to target shoot at the range because it is a lot of fun and it’s a celebration of our 2nd amendment rights that many men & women have fought & died for in order for us law abiding citizens to have that right! The main thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. You morons want to ban guns totally & not just from the thugs on the streets who illegally own them! You morons would rather try to call 911 while someone is attacking, robbing, raping or trying to stab or kill you and hope that someone with a gun (police officer) comes in time to save your lives! And you’re also dumb enough to believe gun free zones save lives!!! You think criminals see the sign and go somewhere else to do their mass shootings! You liberals are the dumbest and most hypocritical people on earth who are driving this country into the ground by following one another trying to find a corner in a round room! If you don’t like it, kiss my white & proud ass, spread the word about The White Buffaloes (the equivalent to the black panthers) and suck my glock!

I don’t appreciate extremism of any kind (racism, religious, etc). In my opinion, anything to an extreme is counterproductive and destructive. Promoting an organization that possibly promotes intolerance (just based on your Black Panther analogy) is not cool.

So Mr. Limbaugh help me out here. If I don’t like Ted I’m A liberal? Is that your schtick?

    • I hate the NRA on

Take it easy buddy….go sober up. You bin hitting the moonshine to hard…no one said they where gonna take your guns….relax go to a happy place

Amazing that people on this sight can’t respectfully disagree with Uncle Ted’s political views, while still giving him the due credit for his amazing guitar playing and musical genius. I am one of the “right wing rednecks” that agree with much of what Uncle Ted says, in his political views. I know I am not a racist, and have never heard anything that the Nuge has said that could be construed as racist by anyone not pre-disposed to finding something racist in his comments. But even if I didn’t agree with him, I could respectfully disagree with him and not hurl vile insults in his direction while still giving him due credit for the great musical history he has contributed to the hard rock world. Please grow up!!

    • Scott on

      AMEN.

    • sar305 on

Then perhaps Uncle Ted should take some of your advice to “grow up” and not “hurl vile insults”, but until then…

  • Garry on

Wow. The haters are out. I love animals, but I love guns. Why does that make a redneck? Really? Name calling? Read up on environmental issues in regards to “thinning herds” etc. without responsible hunting, the eco system shuts down. So you dont agree with his politics. So what. He speaks for what he believes in. and he doesnt hide behind a keyboard to say it.

    • sar305 on

“Hiding behind a keyboard”…you mean like you? And because the Nuge has never ever waxed politically online before(under a nom de plume)? You’re silly. Meanwhile, where’s your excoriation of Teddy for his own very distasteful name-calling, hmm? Hypocrite…
