    Take that Great White!!!!

What I love about Deep Purple is that they were (are I guess) a BAND. Not a great lead guitarist (or lead vocalist or keyboardist e.g.) and a bunch of guns for hire or hacks hired to back him up. The whole was greater than the parts.

I wish there was some way Richie Blackmore could be convinced to put down his Lute, green tights and feathered cap and play some rock again. Either with Deep Purple or Rainbow would be great.

I’d like to see him in a band with Jack Russell called Great Purple.

one thing’s for sure, Blackmore hasn’t overstayed his welcome. How many rock stars talked about not playing rock at age 50 or 70. Except for Bill Wyman, few have kept their word. I’m not saying everybody should quit. It is what it is.

Totally agree. But Blackmore is one dude I’d love to see come back with some Rock n Roll. One of the most underrated guitar players and songwriters of our time. His stuff with DP is great, but Rainbow was even better.

I have a pro shot bootleg from Paris from this tour and it’s awesome. If this show is as good I will definitely get it. Come back Ritchie or at least appear on TMS
