  1. I remember when I heard Perfect Strangers was coming out in ’84, I was quite impressed with the songs and the overall sound of the band after not playing together for 10 years. It is a very good effort in my opinion. I might have to pick up this DVD.

        1. and to that excellent point Richman we can sincerely say that Mr. Lord never shirked that responsibility. He always respected the mustache code. He used it for good instead of all the evil and potential spoils it could have afforded him. He was Ying to Richie Blackmore’s Yang. And please remember this is long before Movember became a movement, or the playoff beard in hockey. Yes many think that Jon Lord is a legend simply because of his dazzling talents on the ivories , which he tickled to incredible extremes throughout his career. But really the thing that tickled everyone most, was that incredible fucking mustache.

          1. The live album NOBODY S PERFECT really emphasizes his great talent. He did THE LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY to perfection. The best ever is accurate.

  2. I saw them march 9 and 25 in 1985 at the meadowlands in jersey.both shows were amazing.i hope that this DVD captures the energy and showmanship when I saw them back in the day

    1. Yo,Wille I was at the March 25 show in 85
Front row first and only time I had tickets like that
Awesome show but still amazed that they didn’t play Smoke on the Water that night

      1. That was weird .they did speed king.. I heard that Blackmore was bent out of shape because he didn’t want any pics taken of him and out of spite he didn’t do smoke on the water.i remember him breaking up his strat and throwing it in the crowd and the crowd were like hungry sharks trying to grab the strat ..I was bummed out when they were on the house of blue light tour..I had 3rd row at the Nassau coliseum and they cancelled the show due to the fact that Ritchie either broke his hand or his finger..
