Alice Cooper has announced his early 2018 tour plans. The legendary rocker will hit the road for a North American trek, dubbed A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper. The tour kicks off on March 1st in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and runs through March 29th in Indianapolis.
Cooper released Paranormal, his first album in six years and twenty-seventh overall, via earMUSIC in August. The recording features special guests like U2’s Larry Mullen Jr., who plays on nine of the twelve new songs; Billy Gibbons of ZZ TOP; Deep Purple’s Roger Glover, as well as a highly anticipated mini-reunion of the original Alice Cooper band members.

Greg Prato of the Long Island Pulse spoke with Cinderella frontman Tom Keifer. Excerpts from the interview appear below.
LI Pulse: The Way Life Goes was originally issued in 2013. Why an expanded version now?
Tom Keifer: The record came out and was pretty well-received, and the label did a great job with the first single. But somewhere along the line, the record got caught up in a corporate shake-up and it ended up getting pulled down. It’s actually not been available for a couple of years. First and foremost, we just want to get the record back out. We’ve been working towards that, and we thought in the process of doing that, we’d create the deluxe edition.
LI Pulse: Were the 80s as wild and crazy as Behind the Music episodes make it out to be?
Tom Keifer: Not at all. That’s all a lie. [Laughs] No, it was an amazing time. I always describe it as we were in Philadelphia and South Jersey playing clubs, and we got that lucky break and it just felt like a tornado came and picked us up. The ride has been going ever since. It was a really fun, creative decade to be a part of. It continues today. The fans are so loyal, and I feel really lucky to still be able to walk out on stage and everyone is singing every word. That’s continuing with this tour with the solo band, too, so I feel very blessed for that.
LI Pulse: You’ve experienced vocal troubles in the past. How is your voice currently?
Tom Keifer: It’s doing very well. I had a little mishap this summer and had to have surgery. I just got back on the road and did a couple of shows—my first shows in two months. I’d had that paralysis of my left vocal cord that took me years to retrain, but I’ve been singing really strong. It was just one of those nights where I pushed something a little too hard back in June. But I had surgery, recovered and now everything is good.
LI Pulse: Would you ever consider a Cinderella reunion?
Tome Keifer: There’s really no talk of that at all at this point. I’m really happy with what I’m doing and I think everyone else is, too. Everyone else is off doing their own thing. I have put a lot of time into this new project, and it’s been going really well. I’m really enjoying it. I’m happy where I am.
Steven Adler paid tribute to the late King of The Sunset Strip, Mario Maglieri, during Tuesday night’s (October 3rd) “Ultimate Jam Night” at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California.
The former Guns N’ Roses drummer was joined briefly by radio personality Eddie Trunk before playing a four-song GN’R set, starting with Welcome To The Jungle, performed with Budderside and former Adler’s Appetite singer Patrick Stone, guitarist Jacob Bunton, Colin Reid and L.A. Guns bassist Johnny Martin. Adler was also joined for the GN’R classic “Used To Love Her” by Quiet Riot guitarist Alex Grossi, Beautiful Creatures bassist Kenny Kweens, Steve Dawson of Ritchie Ramone’s band and Ultimate Jam Night’s MC and ZO2 frontman Paulie Z.

The drummer reunited with GN’R for the first time in twenty-six years during the 2016 leg of the Not In This Lifetime tour.
Adler is currently planning on doing select live dates in 2018, performing the landmark record Appetite For Destruction in it’s entirety.

New Jersey-bred rockers Bon Jovi, Judas Priest, singer-activist Nina Simone, new wave outfit Eurythmics and pioneering rapper LL Cool J are among this year’s nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Historically, the ballot has been capped at about a dozen acts, but last year that figure rose to 19, which repeats itself this year.
Ten of these, including Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, the Cars, J. Geils Band, MC5, the Meters, Link Wray, the Zombies, and Depeche Mode, have been nominated before, but there were notable first-timers, including Simone and Eurythmics.
L.A. rap metal collective Rage Against the Machine and English rockers Radiohead both made the ballot during their first year of eligibility (25 years must pass since an act’s first recording), and singer Kate Bush, heavy metal band Judas Priest, roots band Dire Straits, gospel singer Sister Rosetta Tharpe and art rockers the Moody Blues were also nominated for the first time.
Most of them will be disappointed. While the number of nominees has almost doubled, the number of inductees remains in the single digits; only five to seven artists will be selected…
…Winners are chosen by an international voting body of more than 900 that includes past inductees, historians and members of the music industry as well as the aggregate results of the Rock Hall’s online fan vote.
Factors such as an artist’s musical influence on other acts, the length and depth of career and the body of work, as well as innovation and superiority in style and technique are considered…
…Inductees for Rock Hall’s class of 2018 will be announced in December, with the ceremony, which takes place in New York, following in April. The ceremony will be broadcast on HBO as well as SiriusXM radio.
Fan voting on Rock Hall’s official site begins Wednesday and will continue through December 5th.
