Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne earlier today (February 6th) revealed details about his forthcoming No More Tour 2 a reference to his 1992 No More Tours trek. The announcement by the legendary musical icon about the North American dates–with his longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (Guitar), Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards)–was made to international media in attendance at his Los Angeles home.

The initial North American dates produced by Live Nation kick off August 30th in Allentown, PA and conclude October 13th in Las Vegas, NV with a Thursday, October 11th stop at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles; Ozzy will be joined by Stone Sour for this leg of the tour. Next up, a six-week European leg of headlining solo dates and festival performances that’s set to begin Friday, June 1st in Moscow, Russia.

“I’ve been extremely blessed to have had two successful music careers,” Osbourne says. “I’m looking at this final tour as being a huge celebration for my fans and anyone who has enjoyed my music over the past five decades.”

On his upcoming farewell world tour, produced by Live Nation, Osbourne will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Black Sabbath which formed in 1968). This tour, expected to take Ozzy around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows in the future. Throughout his career, Ozzy has sold more than 100 million records.

Want to hear more about the tour from the Prince of Darkness himself? Ozzy has partnered with Ticketmaster to spread the word about the tour with a new message on the Ticketmaster app for the Google Assistant on phones, speakers like Google Home and other compatible devices. Fans can trigger the app by saying, “Hey Google, talk to Ticketmaster,” which will offer special messages from the Prince of Darkness himself. Fans will then be invited by Sharon Osbourne to hear details about Ozzy’s upcoming Live Nation tour dates. GUITARIST GEORGE LYNCH SAYS SUPER STROKE, FEATURING JEFF PILSON, MICK BROWN AND ROBERT MASON, IS “JUST INSANE”

George Lynch has confirmed to SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk that three members of the classic Dokken lineup have reunited in a new project called Super Stroke (also featuring former Lynch Mob and current Warrant singer Robert Mason.

Lynch told Eddie (as per Blabbermouth.net), “I’m literally sitting here writing and recording with Jeff [Pilson] at Jeff’s studio for that project.”

“I’ve got to tell you, I’m probably in the bands with the worst names in the history of rock and roll,” he joked. “You know, Sweet & Lynch, T&N, LP, Super Stroke, KXM — I mean, absolutely no imagination. I’m sorry. I have to apologize up and down. But I don’t know about the idea of, like, 50- and 60-year-old dinosaur rockers being in a band called The Super Strokers, but they insisted on it. I lost the vote, so that’s what it’s called, I guess, at this point.”

Describing the band’s music as “just insane,” George said that he and Jeff “are sitting here just out of our minds, having so much fun. It’s kind of like all these different projects are really just one big giant project. We just keep trying to say the same thing over and over until we get it right.”

“The Super Stroke thing, like the new Dokken track [that was recorded for the upcoming concert album and DVD], it just seems to be a culmination of all our decades of experience of what we’ve been trying to do forever, and we finally seem to be getting it together,” he explained. “This stuff is just coming out so beautifully, and it’s just so fun to play on and so fun to listen to. I just can’t wait to get it out there in front of people.”

Dokken’s classic lineup reunited for a short Japanese tour in the fall of 2016. It marked the first time in twenty-one years that the classic lineup had hit the road.

A CD and DVD of Dokken’s Japanese tour will tentatively arrive in April. It will feature footage from two of the Japanese shows — including Tokyo — plus the aforementioned brand new song, It’s Just Another Day, for which Dokken filmed a video in January.

GLENN HUGHES DISCUSSES FORMER TRAPEZE AND JUDAS PRIEST DRUMMER DAVE HOLLAND AND SAYS, “[HE] WAS AN INCREDIBLE DRUMMER AND A GREAT GUY”

Bassist/singer Glenn Hughes spoke with the Music Mania podcast the passing of former Trapeze, and Judas drummer, Dave Holland.

Hughes said (as per Blabbermouth.net, “Dave was my first drummer in Trapeze. And what an incredible drummer and a great guy….I’ve lost both members of Trapeze — I’m the last one standing again. Of course, Dave had some difficulties later in life, which we know about. But all I wanna talk about is how great [he] was around me in those early years. Trapeze [was] the ’70s, before I went on to join Purple and Mel went on to join Whitesnake and Dave went on to join Judas Priest. Those were very, very formative years for me, for a young musician from the north of England, to come out to the United States and have a career. Very important.”

MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST TO TOUR NORTH AMERICA, DATES ANNOUNCED

Few rock guitarists have proven to be as influential and enduring as the great Michael Schenker. And March will be a busy month for Schenker, as he will be issuing his latest album on the 2nd, Resurrection, as well as launching a North American tour in support of it – kicking off on the 6th at the Fillmore in Silver Springs, MD, and wrapping up on April 3rd at the Ritz in Tampa, FL.

And what makes this tour truly unique is that it is being billed as Michael Schenker Fest, and will be featuring three classic Michael Schenker Group vocalists (Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley), plus the singer of Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock (Doogie White). And in addition to Schenker supplying guitar, he will be joined by second guitarist/keyboardist Steve Mann, bassist Chris Glen, and drummer Ted McKenna. Meet and greet packages are also available for purchase via michaelschenkerfest.com.

First bursting on the scene in the early ‘70s with the Scorpions, the German guitarist and his seemingly always present Flying V were also a crucial reason in UFO becoming one of the world’s top rock bands that same decade (on the strength of such classic recordings as 1977’s Lights Out, 1978’s Obsession, and 1979’s Strangers in the Night), as well as supplying guitar on a Scorpions album that made important inroads into the American market (1979’s Lovedrive). But since 1980, Schenker has been best known for his work with MSG – including such further classic recordings as 1980’s self-titled debut (featuring Barden), 1982’s Assault Attack (featuring Bonnet), and 1987’s Perfect Timing (featuring McAuley).

And soon, lucky North American fans will get the chance to experience all eras of MSG, on a nearby concert stage.
