BLACK SABBATH ANNOUNCE COMPLETE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES
Following the overwhelming response to the initial announcement of just four tour dates, Black Sabbath have now confirmed a full 20-city North American tour. Beginning July 25th in Houston, TX, the tour will include shows in Philadelphia, Boston, Tinley Park (Chicago), San Francisco and other major markets, along with the previously announced stops in Holmdel, NJ (NY-area), Los Angeles, Seattle and Toronto, ON. Tickets for the newly announced dates will go on sale starting Friday, May 3rd at LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com. A full list of cities and on sale dates for the dates is below. Black Sabbath launched their world tour on April 20th with two shows in Auckland, NZ. They are now in Australia for performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, before heading to Tokyo for the first-ever Ozzfest in Japan on May 12th.
Along the overseas tour, Black SAabbath–Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler–are previewing music from their forthcoming 13. On the new album, due out June 11th, the band that defined heavy metal picks up immediately where they left off with eight sprawling songs (five of them are over eight minutes) that possess every ounce of the maniacal vitality of the Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ trailblazing work in the ’70s. Songs such as End of the Beginning, Loner, Dear Father and Age of Reason reinforce 13’s testament to the enduring relevance of Black Sabbath’s long-running reign. Produced by Rick Rubin (seven-time Grammy winner, two of those as Producer of the Year), 13 will be released on Vertigo (worldwide) and Vertigo/Republic in the U.S.

you know sharon, and ozzy, are the driving force behind this project and they didnt want to give bill his fair share. its just not cool, the guy was around from day one and now u replace him with the tool from rage in the studio and ozzys dickhead tour drummer. ill stick to the reunion memories of the original sabbath and the heaven and hell incarnation. im done supporting those two
But Sharon doesn’t manage Black Sabbath. She only manages Ozzy. Geezer is managed by his wife Gloria and the last I heard Tony Iommi is managed by Ernest Chapman. So they are all managed separately. From what I understand Bill asked for way more than what the others were getting, and let’s not forget that Tony Iommi owns, or at least did, the name Black Sabbath and if anyone is the driving force behind them it is him. I think because Ozzy is the most high profiled member of the band, and that Sharon manages him, people are putting two and two together and getting eight. Admittedly, unless you are a part of the machine you will never know the real reason, so all you will get is speculation. I personally don’t think that Ozzy would allow Bill to get treated badly on purpose as he and Bill are very good friends. But business is business.

maybe sharon and ozzy did not want bill in the line-up. but you got to blame tony and geezer too. they both should have told ozzy “its all 4 of us or no deal”. their all to blame for treating ward like that

Its pretty much common knowledge Tony & Ozzy think they should get paid more just like Simmons thought he should get paid more . Simmons & Stanley were playing 1/2 to 3/4 full arena’s in alot of cities in the 80’s thru the revenge tour. Then Ace & Peter come along and they sellout everywhere and make millions setting the stage for $immons to be able to dress up a session player and a kiss tribute band guitar player to put on the makeup and become $immons puppets ..

I agree with you about Sabbath And Van Halen. It’s hard to believe that Bill Ward would be THAT unreasonable, it just doesn’t seem like his personality.
I hope Ozzy sings incoherently and rocks back and forth like a geriatric savant. Pretty sure he will.
