AFTER BEING SENTENCED TO EIGHT MONTHS HOME DETENTION, AC/DC DRUMMER PHIL RUDD ARRESTED AGAIN

philrudd400 Reuters is reporting that AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been arrested in New Zealand where he lives just 10 days after being sentenced to home detention, media reported on Sunday.

Rudd, who on July 10th was sentenced to eight months home detention after pleading guilty to charges of threatening to kill and possession of drugs, is being held in custody in New Zealand, the Australian Associated Press reported, citing his lawyer, Craig Tuck.

The 61-year-old musician will appear in court in Tauranga district on Monday morning, the news agency said.

Police declined to confirm the arrest or comment on the charge, the AAP said.

The arrest is the latest blow to the rock musician who was unable to join AC/DC for their 2015 Rock or Bust tour due to legal problems.

He was arrested last November and charged with attempting to procure a murder, threatening to kill and possession of drugs. The charge of trying to procure murder was withdrawn because of a lack of evidence.

The threat was to an employee involved in the unsuccessful launch of his solo album.

As part of his sentence Rudd was being electronically monitored at his mansion in the seaside city of Tauranga, about 200 km (125 miles) southeast of Auckland.

Australian-born Rudd has lived in New Zealand since he was dimissed from the band in 1983. He rejoined AC/DC in 1994.

Phil, Phil, Phil, now what? Can’t you keep your nose clean for 10 days? Talk about a “Problem Child.” BTW Shannon, you’re wrong! I wouldn’t say it, (referring to your comment from July 9th) I agree that most of those charges against Phil are BS! Don’t be putting words in my mouth, unless those words are Coors, and Light! …95 Bottles of beer on the wall… Cheers Shannon! 😉
“Rock And Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution,” but meth is, stay clean Phil!

Doug R, you would too say it! You would’ve said, “dirty deeds done dirt cheap!” you know you would have Doug R! I don’t like this campaign against this guy one bit. He was raving about killing someone, offering outlandish sums, and then he calls the guy directly and threatens him, all of this indicates he was just bluffing. He kicks in a restaurant door, and this gets called a “violent incident,” and they arrest him. Now, he’s drinking, in his own home! The tactics of law enforcement, frankly, scare me a lot more than Phil Rudd. Aside from a door, he never hurt actually hurt anybody, is the picture I am left with.
      And Doug R, you would’ve said it. : )

Shannon, the only thing Phil is guilty of (IMO) is hurting himself and ruining his career, rumnuts! Are We Having Any Fun Yet? Go to http://www.redrocker.com and check out Sammy’s interview on his new book! Really cool! …94 Bottles of beer on the wall… Cheers! 🙂

I wish! I would love to go again, been to 2, 2002, and 2007, Sammy’s 60th! Best time of my life! Uncle Ted was there too! The cantina in Cabo, best party atmosphere I’ve ever been in & experienced! Besides Cabo, Sammy has cantinas in Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Hollywood, if you haven’t already, you should go to one of them, guaranteed you’ll have a great time, even if the Red Rocker isn’t there! …92 ” ” ” ” ” “… after this conversation, I need a double shot, LOL! Love to party as much as the Rum Bum, have a lot in common with Sammy, probably because we’re both Libras! 😉
As far as Phil goes, like I said on the other page, he needs to be in rehab, sitting at home twiddling his drum sticks isn’t going to help him at all. Hopefully from this point on, he’ll do the right thing.

I’ll have to check that out. Hollywood is closing the House of Blues; there aren’t many rock clubs in L.A. any more; talk about sad. At least the Rainbow is still there, but the Key Club, which was next door, is no more. Absolutely right about Phil, take care soul brother!

Now here’s a man that makes good decisions. TIme to maybe consider rehab or something that can keep him from doing more time. Judas Priest!!
