Best of luck to my friend Doug Aldrich who has just announced his departure from Whitesnake. I’ve been in touch with both he and David Coverdale and the split is amicable. Doug will explore new opportunities and DC will search for the next in a long line of great players in his history. More soon I’m sure.

Eddie – is Reb Beach now slated to be the lead guitarist for Whitesnake, or will Winger be his main gig once again?

You can check out Doug diong classic rock in Las Vegas at Raiding the Rock Vault with Howard Leese -Guitar (Heart, Bad Company), Robin McAuley -Lead Vocals (MSG, Survivor), John Payne -Lead Vocals, Bass (Asia), Paul Shortino -Lead Vocals (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot), Jay Schellen -Drums (Hurricane, Asia), Andrew Freeman -Lead Vocals (Offpsring), and Michael T. Ross -Keyboards (Lita Ford).
It’s an awesome show in a small venue and priced right!

My wife and I got to see that show last year. Wasn’t sure what to expect with so many recognizable names thrown together, but they did a great job telling a story and playing some great music at the same time. The night we were there Lou Gramm was a special guest and made an appearance for one of the first times after his illness. It was pretty cool to see him and to see the respect the other rockers onstage held for him.

Damn! DA was the perfect foil for DC….wishing the best for both camps! Was fortunate to see the WS band three times with Doug. Hopefully Doug gets the opportunity for some original music in that type of band setting…would love to see him with Mr. Tichy again…

I know they are not metal but they did have a huge influence on the music is the MISFITS. I would be cool if TMS could get ONLY & DANZIG on the show. What happened to SUICIDAL TENDENCIES?

Danzig was on already. But imho it was disappointing. Guys didn’t seem to know much about Danzig’s career.
