5/3: EDDIE TO HOST “REAL TO REEL” ON AXS TV

I am thrilled to announce I am hosting a new series for AXS TV called Reel To Real. This is a weekly series of documentary films that kicks off May 31st at 9P ET with a doc on Green Day called Heart Like A Hand Grenade. The series features a very eclectic mix of artists, everything from classical piano, to rock, to metal and more. I actually completed all the shooting for this series already in LA at the AXS studio there a few weeks ago. I come on to open each film, then come on in the middle, and again at the end to wrap it up with extra info and content. All together there are about 20 films total I did wraps for, so you will be seeing quite a bit of me on AXS starting very soon. I had a great time working with the team at the network and I’d also like to thanks Mark Cuban for having me (he owns AXS TV).

Let me also address something because I know it will be asked.. This does not mean anything regarding That Metal Show. AXS of course has been approached about picking up TMS and at this time are not interested in what’s involved to produce that show. It is still totally my hope that we find a new home for TMS! But we need to find a network that wants to do it and we are still searching. I do not own TMS, so final decisions are not mine. But there are people working on it. If/when we do find a new home of course I will be fully on board!

Thanks for the support and thanks to all at AXS for the opportunity. Hope you guys enjoy these films when the network starts rolling them out. More news to come soon.

Just curious: Eddie, do you own rights to the title “That Metal Show,” or does VH1?

At the end of the day “Hard rock and heavy metal” is just too narrow of category of music for me to stay that interested in ET.com or TMS or podcasts etc.
I have so many other musical interests… southern rock, country, blues and even 50s/60s rock. Bands like Pink Floyd… SRV… Drive By Truckers and on and on.
Glad to see ET branching out with a show that involves other musical categories.
