1/29: TMS, LZZY, BUMBLE, ELLEFSON, BELLO, WINGER IN MILWAUKEE, MORE

Episode 3 of the new season of TMS is being edited as we speak and will premiere this Saturday night 11P ET on VH1 Classic. We discuss the Motley farewell announcement and welcome guests David Ellefson, Frank Bello (who have a new band together), Lzzy Hale (who joined us via Skype) and Bumblefoot who plays during the show. Top 5 is the best Anthrax songs. Had a blast, hope you like it.

A friend who runs a label shared with me some interesting news about TMS this week. My Pick Of The Week for our debut this season was Scorpion Child. After that show aired the label saw a more than 100% increase in album sales right afterwards. As a matter of fact all of our picks show a major sales spike after we feature them on TMS as does the guests latest products they plug. It’s great to see this show have a positive impact on sorely lacking sales in rock/metal music and I appreciate all you guys watching and responding. These bands can use the help for sure. Was just really cool to see the impact of TMS and how rock music CAN sell if it is presented to an audience that cares about it. And that’s the huge difference, YOU the audience! He also told me when bands do Letterman or Leno the sales spike is not nearly as dramatic. Now clearly those are way way bigger shows and I am not for a minute trying to compare TMS to them. But not everyone who watches them cares about rock. If you watch TMS you do, and that explains the great reactions in sales. So thanks, it all helps the cause of rock and metal music!

My FM radio show featuring the interview with Joey DeMaio airs on all affiliates and online outlets this weekend listed on the site. My SiriusXM interviews are on the SiriusXM app.

Headed to Milwaukee tomorrow. Hope to see you for two nights of Winger at Northern Lights tomorrow and Friday night. Tickets still available for tomorrow show. I’ll be in the lobby selling and signing my books at 7 each night, show starts at 8.

I love Motley Crue’s reasons for retiring. How many bands go out with the original lineup? So many stay too long at the party. So IF they truly end as they say, it’s a classy way to cap an amazing career. We shall see.. Mick Mars will be on TMS this season!

Please be sure to check out the Eddie Trunk/TrunkNation merch in the online store on this site. Appreciate all that have purchased and represent out there. Thanks!

Great TMS episode last night with David Ellefson and Frank Bello. While watching the show I downloaded Altitudes & Attitude from iTunes. Even received a reply back from Bello after I tweeted about it. TMS does indeed help promote an artist’s product. Bumblefoot performing all over the set was great as well. Oh, by the way Ed, I received my TMS shirts in the mail last week as well. One for me and one for my brother’s birthday, which is coming up soon.

Eddie, did Al Jourgensen drop from this season since he’s going to rehab, or is he still scheduled later? Also, even with our numerous conversations about them, the last being Friday in Milwaukee…please play some Steel Panther! Love ya!

That sucks…being from Chicago , I’ve been a big Ministry fan, as well as his side projects, for a long time. I hope he can finally clean up and you guys can get him down the road.

We all have to remember here without eddie don or Jim there would be no that metal show sure you could have 50 bands line up wanting to do tms but it’s ultimately eddie don and jim that keep the show going and of course all of the hard rock and heavy metal bands that love comming on the show. I understand vh1 classic has a budget and a set of rules which must be followed but eddie hands down has found a way to push the envolope every single season lets face it gene Simmons may never come on tms never will David lee Roth and many others for reasons of there own but yet people keep asking the same questions ohh when is this guy coming on the show or why don’t you get this band for your show. Eddie asks and if the singers or bands refuse than it’s out of his hands bands or singers shouldnt feel pushed to come on the show but the singers and groups that these 3 guys have gotten to come on the show is amazing. Sure some people may get bored seeing the same singer on multiple shows but it’s better than nothing even though zac Wylde has been on several times he never gets boring allways something new and fresh from him and Sebastian Boch and everybody else. You must understand that tms is probally gonna be the only show ever to feature hard rock and metal guests there will never be another show like it. Personaly I love the tms top 5 it’s the one of the few chances eddie don and Jim can really go all out and argue like kids which brings out the comedy of the show. Can’t remember how many times I laughed during a tms top 5 or a stump the trunk very funny segments. Thanks eddie for keeping the show alive for 10 years heres to another 10 years cause I never seen such a more passionit person who truly loves what he does more than eddie trunk thank you.

If I may suggest a tms top 5
Top 5 bands that should retire from music
